Debt ceiling deal: US House overwhelmingly passes bill

The House of Representatives has approved a deal to allow the US to borrow more money, days before the world's biggest economy is due to start defaulting on its national debt. The measure passed the chamber by a vote of 314-117, with defections on both sides of the aisle.

Who on earth is buying this stuff? A currency debasing at what 14% per year and the debt instrument purchased pays 5% or less? Haven't China and the rest of the world been trimming their exposure....so who is buying this besides our own banks?

Honestly in a bull market this would have pumped us now since still in the bear we didnt even move, hong kong opening to crypto tomorrow plus debt ceiling resolved, plus tether buying btc(dumped from that so far), why arent we at 30k? Something is up or market makers need to flush us since too many are bullish interesting times for sure, just gunna sit and watch for now, only thing i have a position in is MSTR since long term but everything else is so up down everyday kinda crazy

My understanding of this debt bill is that nothings resolved but the problem is passed to the next presidency and we as taxpayers continue to pay for politicians mistakes and continue to expect the rich to pay “their fair share”. Eventually the rich would flee our country, then who will burden the bill?

Debt ceiling deal, as in no more ceiling until maybe after the 2024 election. The foolish GOP just gave away any leverage they may have had. 🤬

Us peasants will burden the bill such as always. We use every resource to at least try to enjoy life a little while providing what we can for our kids , while more of us continue to be controlled . Most people can’t afford a good amount of BTC and are looking for hopeium for a more comfortable life. We just have to try and enjoy the smaller things in this life and pray for our children
