More Marvel ladies and more fat/inflation stuff. A slight twist on the Moon Knight premise, though taking on the traits of a hippo goddess has more side effects than planned. Slight spoilers for Moon Knight, mind ya.

The little ending bit was my idea, by the way, except I had planned on the cameo from Big Bertha as a more obscure big Marvel gal.

Things seemed to be at their lowest when Layla heard the voice of the gods. The sweet and cheery voice of Taweret, the hippo-headed ferryman of the dead, made her an offer she couldn't refuse; the power to do anything about the awful situation. The Egyptian pantheon was battling against Ammit for the fate of the world, The tan, busty, curly haired woman was scrappy and resourceful, but she wasn’t able to throw down with immortal avatars.

“I accept,” she agreed.

She was out of options, and even if she wasn’t, the offer was tempting.

“Lovely! Now let’s get started with a bit of redecorating!”

The voice in her head was followed by a prompt clapping. It was followed by the sound of fabric stretching and tightening around her skin as she found her hips and breasts starting to expand, testing the limits of her clothes. A few buttons popped loose as her bust swelled out several cup sizes, followed by her lean stomach suddenly oozing out over her waistband.

“Whoaaa whoa whoa whoa. Stop!” Layla shouted.

Her transformation abruptly stopped. She had to lean against one of the stone walls to steady herself, trying to adjust to her newly gained wait. Taweret had halted the change, but she hadn’t undone anything just yet.

“Something wrong, dear?” the goddess asked innocently.

“Look at this!” Layla snapped impatiently.

She gestured in front of her. She had underestimated how far her breasts and belly had grown out, accidentally bumping her hand against them.

“What are you trying to do to me!?”

“Oh nothing! Just getting you ready to harness the power of a god!” the hippo deity replied with a playful touch of sarcasm.

“This didn’t happen to Marc,” Layla pointed out.

“The body needs to suit the god or goddess. Khonshu’s not much more than a walking skeleton when you actually look at ‘em, so there’s not much to change about that. Now if you’re going to be housing a genuine hippo goddess…”

“I get it!” Layla interrupted her.

She was having doubts about accepting this kind of power. From what little she got out of Steve and Marc, they had warned her about striking this kind of deal. Somehow, she didn’t imagine they were talking about this.

She was about to back out when she heard shouts from outside the tomb. The walls started to shake and crumble around her. Whatever was happening out there, it was bad and it was big. Layla pursed her lips and decided that she didn’t have much of choice.

“Fine. Do it,” she surrendered.

“You sure? No take backs this time,” Taweret warned in her head.

“Yes! Fine! Go!”

“Perfect! You’ll look just lovely. And I’ve such a fantastic costume planned out for you.”

Layla felt the uncomfortable swelling start up again, centering around her stomach. A faint gurgle sounded before it was drowned out by the creaking and tearing of her clothes. Tears formed in her pants and shirt as her curves expanded, early breaking points where they couldn’t take the pressure. Her new fat filled her clothing and overflowed it wherever she could. Her shirt sleeves tore as flab developed around her biceps. Her tits spilled out over the neckline of her top, as if her cleavage was flooding out.

“This is so fucked up,” she hissed to herself.

The sensation itself was bizarre. It didn’t hurt, even as her clothing grew too tight to contain her. The divine gift of fat seemed to protect her from it, her skin too thick to care about the mere bonds of mortal jeans. Layla shuddered as she felt the fly and button of her pants give way to the incoming tide of belly fat. She was already worried about how she’d fit inside her apartment door.

Her tan skin kept expanding until she felt herself struggling to breathe. She almost thought it was the upsurge in weight making her have a heart attack, but then her shirt ripped open. The immeasurable weight of her breasts tore its front to pieces, briefly hanging like a vest before even her chunky arms tore through the sleeves.

“This new outfit had better be worth wrecking my clothes!” Laura winced.

She tried to close her arms around her breasts but she couldn’t even reach her front. Her empowered body swelled with flabby, fleshy noises as her gut sagged, reaching the ground as her thick legs expanded to balance her as well. That meant her pants ripped apart as well,

“I’m starting to think Marc got the better deal out of all this,” Laura hissed.

Even her lips and face had fattened up. It took her a moment to rub a hand over her chubby chin and adapt her speech to her new features. She flexed her jaw, getting used to the new weight.

“Ugh.. how am I supposed to even move like this?!” she groaned.

Her weight increased and she had to keep shifting around on her feet. Her legs thickened to support all the jiggling rolls that finally outweighed the elasticity of her clothes. Even her bra and panties were shredded apart, exploding off her expanding body. With a final, gelatinous gurgling noise, her blubber flopped out one last time. Her huge, sagging tits flopped down on top of her protruding belly. At least she was stable enough to stay on her feet, which was surprising in itself.

She fumbled to try and cover her tits and crotch, only to find her sagging gut hung over her pussy. The breasts were too massive to cover them all, and she had plenty of dark flabby skin that was left uncovered.

“There! Pretty as a picture!” chimed the goddess’ voice.

“What part of this is pretty?! I’m like a blob! How do you expect me to save the world like…?”

Layla’s complaints were cut off by another rumbling. She had taken too long with her transformation to have any time to escape. The stone beneath her feet shook as the walls around her collapsed. She gasped and threw her arms up to protect her face, vanishing under a cave-in of sand and stone.

The dust finally settled, just for the reborn Layla to burst out from a mound of sand. She was redressed, though now she was wearing a strange sort of armor. A gold plate covered the center of her breast and belly with a toga-like robe wrapped around much of the rest. Of course, her vast bulk was big enough that it was impossible to cover it all. Her flabby sides stuck out at the sides and the plated leg braces had some of her chunky thighs draping over them. Bronze feathers lined the back of her arms, forming artificial wings where her chunky underarms rested again. It was even tighter than she’d imagined superhero costumes tended to be, but at least she was alive.

“Okay! Finally something impressive,” she admitted.

She raised her arms, finding that the wings stretched easily along with her.

“Can I actually fly with these when I weigh a thousand pounds?”

“Ready to find out?” Taweret offered coyly.

Ammit’s cultists tore through the nearby city, mowing down any who resisted her soul-sucking wrath. It was an ancient Egyptian version of “kill ‘em all and let God sort them out” as they sent civilians screaming and running from the titanic deity. A squad of armed cultists leveled guns as a fleeing family, only for Layla to suddenly swoop down in front of them. Her meaty legs dug a shallow trench in the sand as she skidded to a stop, but her bulky blubber and outspread wings blocked their shots. Her large figure ensured that the family behind her remained safe while the bullets bounced off her armor and fat alike.

“Who is this?” one of the cultists asked the other, keeping his weapon raised.

“A messenger from Taweret. She says hello,” Layla replied coolly.

She launched herself into the fray, disarming and knocking out cultists left and right. She had quickly gotten used to her blubbery body, figuring how her gut and breasts would wobble and how to use that fluid-like momentum. She was far stronger and more mobile than her body would suggest, letting her speed through the troops like a flabby falcon. She gave a wide sweep of her wings, knocking the guns out of a few of their hairs before swinging her weight onto one foot. That brought her gut swinging along with it, slapping into a pair of cultists and sending them flying. She thrust her hips out behind her, using her mammoth ass to crush another one against a wall. It hit hard enough to knock a few chunks of stone loose as he briefly vanished between her cheeks, crumbling unconscious to the ground.

A few of them tried to come at her with knives but she simply gave a beat of her wings, making her blubber wobble as she shot half a mile up into the air. They stared up in shock, just to realize where they were standing as she came rocketing back down. With a meaty WHUMP, Layla had flattened three of them into the sand beneath her massive belly flop.

Some stunned onlookers waved and shouted their thanks in Arabic as they fled from the chaos. Ammit’s forces had picked up on the commotion and were starting to storm towards the reborn Layla. She was certainly a big and noisy target, which was perfect when she was the only person with a hippo-thick hide on the battlefield.

“I think I’m starting to enjoy this,” Layla admitted, smirking as she stared down the advancing killers.

“I told you it would grow on you,” Taweret giggled in the back of her mind.

Layla spent the next few frantic minutes tearing the units apart, creating an opening for Marc to finish the job and seal away Ammit. Layla watched the huge crocodile woman fade away from the night sky as she patted her rotund belly. Even as the action ended, it wasn’t going away. She focused on changing back to just Layla, and while Taweret was kind enough to summon some street clothes on her, she was still a behemoth of a woman.

“It’s really not the kind of godly powers I’d have expected,” Layla admitted.

“But I could see this coming in handy.”

“Of course it will. Only the best for my avatar!”

---

Layla squeezed her bulky body into her apartment. She was getting used to her blubbery belly squashing through the doorframe, wiggling her wide ass to wiggle through the last step or two.

She sighed and adjusted her long, clingy top. She had adapted her wardrobe to accommodate her overgrown avatar body, but she still liked to wear something tight. Not that there was much that would be considered loose on a woman as enormous as herself.

She started to reach for her light switch when someone turned on the lamp further inside. Sitting on one of her wide, reinforced couches was a bald man with dark skin, a black trench coat, and an eyepatch.

“Miss El-Faouly,” he greeted in a calm and confident tone.

Layla breathed out a sigh of relief as she recognized the figure.

“Nick Fury. What brings SHIELD sneaking into my home?”

“Just a mutual interest,” Fury replied.

He started unwrapping a snack cake. Layla recognized it as one of countless ones from her cabinets that she used to keep her bulky body fed.

“I’ve been putting together a team. People who can handle the big problems that our normal agents can’t.”

“Ooh! That DOES sound interesting!” Taweret chimed in the back of Layla’s head.

She cracked a small smirk, raising her chubby cheek along with it.

“I’m not sure you’ve looked at me lately, but I’m not built like your average superhero,” she excused.

Fury held up a small, strange device and hit a button. A holographic screen appeared in front of him, showing five other women. They were all roughly the size of Layla in her avatar state; mounds of soft flesh and fatty folds. A sharp-eyed Russian woman, a curly-haired brunette in a British flash-themed bodysuit, a college-age girl in purple with a bow, a chunky woman in a bright red corset, and a woman with a helmet, insectoid wings, and a gut as thick as she was tall.

“Actually… I think you’d fit right in,” Fury calmly corrected her.
