There will be quite a long list of changes this month! :)

* Saves the position of the application window at the moment of closing. * New MessageBox.
* Pause/Resume for "CCD CO test" and "CORE CO test".
* Added new MessageBoxes for some important operations.
* Seamless log (during the 1st calendar day all logs will be merged into 1).
* Added CO SSE offset control (overboost control mechanism for ultralight tasks). Also allow you to get an extra frequency.
* Added video card information.
* Fixed bug of incorrectly saving core numbers for "Overriding best cores".
* Fix infinity loop during diagnostic ( frequency decrease after each unsuccessful attempt).
* Improved data safety for the "CORE CO test (if the "Phoenix" function is triggered, the data will be duplicated in all 4 ini-files for improved preservation).
* Removed all annoying standard MessageBoxes.
* Removed possibility to load data for the "COMPARE" mode if there are no previous experiments.
* Resume "HYBRID OC" or "Overriding best cores" after "COMPARE" process is finished (if these functions were enabled before "COMPARE" started).
* Fixed bug when "Overriding best core"s broke "BOOST TEST" results.
* Resume "Overriding best core"s after "BOOST TEST" process is finished (if this function was enabled before the start of "BOOST TEST").
* Redesigned function of restoring performance counter settings from system backup storage (possibly fix the bug when the game profile doesn't want to turn on).
* Improved feature to disable "Overriding best core" when user runs "DIAGNOSTIC".
* The timeout time for reading CPPC tags is doubled (5s -> 10s). Should help solve a problem where the tags did not have time to load and threw an exception.
* Fixed bug related to excessive core load during "CORE CO testing" (the error could have caused the diagnostic operation to be interrupted due to the temperature).
* The CO curve now has smoother transitions between the offsets and the standard table (should have a positive effect on the stability).
* Small adjustments to the basic settings.
* Fixed a glitch where you could activate "HYBRID OC" or "SAVE PROFILES" if the offset table value was incorrect or missing.
* The protection system will not work if the diagnostic or "HYBRID OC" is not running.
* Removed "RESERVED CO" because this value does not mean correct information. Added simple presets for UEFI CO at the end of diagnostics.
* Fixed bug with abnormally high "DELTA" after starting "Phoenix".
* Fixed a bug when interface elements were unlocked too early after pressing the "STOP" button.
* Fixed a bug with huge numbers in cells with core numbers for "Overriding best cores" after "DIAGNOSTIC".
* Small optimizations for "Overriding best cores".
* Added notifications about critical errors during HYDRA startup.
* "Turn Off PC after diagnostic" now works correctly if "Phoenix" was used.
* Information about the last failure received additional recommendations (recommendations for interaction with "SSE CO offset").
* Fixed a bug where checking for updates during disconnected internet would not allow to start HYDRA.
* Added additional information to the tooltips.
* Improved check for a new version.
* Checking permissions for creating and overwriting temporary files.
* Fixed a bug, that made it impossible to load a previously saved result in "COMPARE" mode.
* Temporary return of game profile triggers from 1.1A.
--------

Please note the SSE CO offset , the higher the value, the more stable the system is. The mechanism is simple: in a light load this offset create a limitation of frequency growth by the value of CO offset. You can try to decrease these values to get more performance (all very individual). Don't be afraid to experiment. I will post the illustration for this function tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience and support. What are you looking forward to in February? Lots of new things. More information will be published on the 7th or 8th.

Wow. Nice update list 👌

"Seamless log (during the 1st calendar day all logs will be merged into 1)." ..you could create a new file every time "diagnose" is pressed, for example... diagnose00001.logs diagnose00002.logs diagnose00003.logs and just add to the highest file number. Would be nice to also dump out the diagnostic settings used as header information at the start of a diagnostic

Did you need New diagnostic?

Does it come with a virus or is it my PC? Win32/Sabsik.FL.A!ml it says

Anonymous

Windows defender says virus... Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml

1.1 version can't load 1.0 profiles, Should I diagnostic again while the new version update every time?

Tom Parkinson

It seems that Game Profile does not always want to engage, even at stock or tweaked values.

elpuertorro

Did you try adjusting the triggers? also do remember some games are cpu intense ans some gpu so each game a different trigger, you can use the Hybrid OC under settings to add the games with maybe different threshold to activate.

elpuertorro

No, you don't but just like in games and such I myself run a brand new fresh diagnostic every new build right after I back up (zip) the older version. Also helps rules out any possible old bug, problem or corruption you might have or not carried over. tedious but yeah run a new fresh one if you can.

"Saves the position of the application window at the moment of closing." This does not seem to work unless user first minimizes to system tray, then exits ...also does not preserve coords of monitor #2 when minimized to system tray - minor issue

Hydra didn´t start at win11 :(

Anonymous

Could i suggest a modification ? i know that is simple change co values after crash after saw the logs, but if hydra is able to do it itself would be amazing. After every crash the system will be ever more stable. If will be implemented this hydra will come super cool :)

Tom Parkinson

It's a false positive. This has been explained numerous times. It flags due to extreme obfuscation.

Anonymous

For me, Hydra didn't start on boot. Does it only happen to me? Also if i click on "Compare" tab, system crash and restarts.

I am using this good build for both heavy working station load and light load benchmarks. This version is GREAT! Few findings: (1) Wattage is 15% lower than classic PBO BIOS settings with the same performance or even slightly better. (2) Geek bench 5 single-core score improves than previous and could head to head competing with a fine-tuned CO with optimized Vf settings. This is wonderful and first happened in my system. (5950 with Optimus custom loop). The only little things left are sometimes the customer profile #1 is not detected and activated correctly. Restart the Hydra will fix it. Second is the boost test on single threads results are not aligned with the CO testing results rankings. So I need to manually enter the preferred cores in LT. Well, still better than CPPC default. Great job and keep pushing!!

Anonymous

Yes. It happened to me a few times but not every time. Deactivate profile then reactivate before press Compare seems make it more stable.

Anonymous

that would be really insane. with additional info under log with new values. good one!

What function has „overriding games“ button? there is no explanation when i go with mouse on it 😃

Do anyone else has a reboot on core 11 with ryzen 5900x? 4925 reload. 4900 reload 4875 c12 - current at 4725. it‘s just interesting since i always have a reload on c11 since hydra release. Is this core something like the weak one? 😃

I don't want to enable the game mode profile, once I set both "GPU CORE trigger" and "GPU MEMORY trigger" to 100%, this was able to no longer trigger the game mode profile in previous versions, but it doesn't seem to work on 1.1C, What should I do please?

Anonymous

it warn by SMU is unable to process the command, and sometimes the temperature it reported is wrong which is higher than 95

Anonymous

There's a game profile and a game CO table. Which one are you trying to avoid?

Anonymous

Hello! i get this message "SMU is unable to process the command" and none of my profiles seem to activate, specially the game profile, can there be interference of some kind with monitoring software like aida4?

Anonymous

My GData Antivirus detects this as virus. 1.1B ist fine

Anonymous

@Yuri: when i change some settings and click to compare, i often run into an „fast-as-hell“ reboot. It looks like i just pressed „shutdown“ and not ok to compare. Do you know something about this? something beeing reported already?

Anonymous

unstable low profile freq. I just, compared to 1.0E pro, getting always at least 1100/1300 points less with this version. While writing this just run into the next test just after first CB23 finished and second started. I‘ll keep tryin.

I am getting no values for EDC and EDC T, it just stays at 0 all the time. I think when I first run the diagnostic on 1.1A Pro they were shown but I am not really sure. Also after deleting Hydra completely and installing 1.1C Pro nothing changed. Even after upgrading to Windows 11 no changes. (5600x on B550-E Gaming with up to date Bios)

Anonymous

Hello, I am new with Hydra Pro. I ran diagnostics with my 5950x on an Asus ROG Strix B550-E. Everything went without a hitch. But now I have the problem that during the multicore test with Cinebench all cores are only clocked at 3800 Mhz and there is no display with the red bar in Hydra (during the singlecore test everything ran smoothly). However, it worked before. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks a lot! Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Anonymous

...make sure you've clicked on "Activate profiles" - any changes to your profiles (voltages or frequency) will automatically deactivate your profiles

Anonymous

The Overriding best cores function still has problems. For example, when I run a VMware virtual machine, from a single-threaded load burst to a multi-threaded load, HYDRA will not lift the CPU core limit on vmware-vmx.exe, which will cause the virtual machine to fail. All CPUs cannot be fully utilized. Every time this happens, you need to reset the task affinity to all CPUs in the task manager to solve it.

Anonymous

The profiles are activated. I have also turned them off and on again. In single core Hydra works as it should (with multicore it also worked in the beginning). Only now suddenly no longer.

Anonymous

Why is the new SSE offset feature found within Hybrid OC backwards from all the other CO offsets (for example, with the AVX offset table a greater value results in higher frequencies whereas with the SSE offset table a lesser value results in higher frequencies)? It didn't seem to be a negative, just breaks continuity 😂😂😂😂😂

Anonymous

nice finally got my 5800X at highest r23 15712 @ 131w @ 1.26v barely over 78c (custom loop) the low thread fix definitely helped.

Anonymous

After the diagnosis was completed, when I tested with some benchmarking software, the screen restarted with a black screen, and there were also occasional low-load automatic black screen restarts. In the event manager, some cores will have event 18 errors. In addition, I would like to ask how to improve What about multi-core benchmark scores?

Anonymous

I agree, the UI should be rewritten to conform to the other CO offsets' functionality.

Has anyone seen CPU Avg Temp. reading 100+C on HwInfo64? I assume that is just a bug?
