I think I wasn't the only one who was disappointed by CES. AMD has abandoned plans to release Zen3+ for AM4, with 3D cache processors being pushed back to a certain line again. Nevertheless, we keep moving forward and in the next few months HYDRA project will receive a module for GPU tuning as well as possibility of L3 cache tweaking (planned). Thank you for being and staying with me. I really appreciate it.

In order to add a lot of new features and prepare for the introduction of the GPU tuning module, we had to slightly increase the size of the application.

The current list of changes looks like this:

OVERRIDING BEST CORES
* A number of improvements and fixes, 6 cores instead of 4 are available to manage.
* This function will now only provide each process with free cores (if available). If there are no cores available the Windows thread scheduler will be used.
* Capable of filtering system processes that cannot be accessed.
* The "speed of applying" the new core list is 100ms.
* Changing the list of cores by user in real time.

DIAGNOSTIC
* Additional temporary files so as not to lose important data during the process.
* Asynchronous recording  temporary files to improve performance.
* Added the ability to configure AVX mode for diagnostics.
* Automatic filling of Overriding best cores.
* Outputs the intermediate energy efficiency value into the log.
* Improved CO search for UEFI.

CUSTOM PROFILE
* Added a second profile for the second list of applications.
* Added the ability to sort and filter processes.

GAME PROFILE
* New triggers : DEDICATED VRAM and GPU UTILIZATION. The evaluation is now performed for each running process. This allows you to perfectly determine the presence of a running game and improve the stability of the system.
* Improved compatibility with new OS builds and video drivers.
* Determining the state of the application (whether the game is maximized or not). This determines the activation of the game profile. Significantly affects the stability.
* Monitoring speed for the game profile has increased by a factor of 3. Affects system stability.

OTHER CHANGES
* Status bar removed due to unfriendliness to the user. Added a pop-up notification if the user entered values in the tables incorrectly.
* Added RE-CREATE PROFILE button for extra convenience.
* Added additional threads for monitoring, redesigned the synchronization of the threads. CPU usage is reduced.
* Modified buttons with voltage presets.
* Other important fixes and improvements.

The release date is early next week.

I'm looking forward to it!

Sounds nice, looking forward to it :D Overall i really like hydra, but i must saw after month of using i am still overwehlmed sometimes. Can you make a short overall workaround with clear step by step manual? Edit: i.e. a best practice sheet

The tuning will be also for Nvidia gpu ?

If no custom profiles defined, will they be hidden in the main window?

1usmus

They are not hidden, but they are never activated without definition.

1usmus

Yes, there are plans to support video cards from both camps, but first an attempt to use this module will be for Radeon.

The older version seems not 100%, it loose saved files with each reboot (on my system). I spend many hours in diagnostics and reboots without any useful result.

Can we at least have 1 Official Stable build before you implement all the new, 3D/L3 cache and GPU module stuff?

Anonymous

Ok....? Stable: not likely to fall or give way, as a structure, support, foundation, etc.; firm; steady. able or likely to continue or last; firmly established; enduring or permanent.

The old version is not stable. Please release new update thanks.

At the beginning i was also thinking that 1.1A is not stable. But it was my RAM timings not as solid as i supposed so this is first thing to check. Also read the whole PDF before starting with diagnostic, most of the problems with reebot and lost log was triggered by my forcing the app to load on system start (this is strongly not recommended)

At least in my case ram solid been using since ctr, but this last one 1.1a won't no matter what get me past the default cb23 score for my cpu, and yes trust me always read the pdf because at least 1 or more things change, also reset/update bios, drivers if needed and dial in the settings as per pdf and all that, at this point guess we just wait it out and hopefully the next update has those bugs taken care of. Also we do have to acknowledge as with any software every pc is unique because the combination of components and drivers, can work 100% for some and not at all for others. And let's keep the info RIGHT i watched the same CES and AMD did not abandon plans everything is as per road map. "Dr. Lisa Su has confirmed that it will be bringing its clever 3D V-cache tech to a single Zen 3 CPU in the next couple of months. The new Ryzen 7 5800X3D will be the first processor to use the stacked memory technology within its package." So we are getting it this year end of 3rd or beginning of 4th qrt, I get that maybe we all wanted and expected maybe more out of it but please let's put out the RIGHT info.

Using the 1.1A build, I was unable to deactivate any of the profiles. I unchecked "Enabled" and "Dynamic" for all profiles other than 16c (because I wanted to lower cpu temps & voltage within a game) and could not. Toggled the save function, deactivate, reactivate profiles to no effect. What am I doing wrong ?

Is the new release close?
