We have a lot of interesting things ahead of us. I also suggest you to write your wishes, what you would like to see in HYDRA.

Thank you for your support!

I would like to see the ability to change the threshold for idle. For example, anything under 9%, idle profile kicks in. Tomorrow, I want it to be 12%. That would be amazing.

- To be able to reset the profile stat counter - Reset the TDC PPT and EDC values, or at least show what they were before they were manually edited - perhaps a popup tool tip ? - Option to follow the logs as they are created, or not. So if I'm reviewing logs from the top, and another entry is created, the logs aren't automatically scrolled to the most recent entry - When changing the VID for a given profile, to be able to recalculate the base frequencies - not sure if the CO needs to be recalculated as part of this? (see original question from HYDRA 1.0C PRO - RELEASED) - Info and yes/no message boxes to present on the same display device as Hydra is being displayed on. This is annoying for users with dual monitors. - Hydra to remember which display device was used when restarting - Option not to minimize Hydra when running CB23, or maybe option to show app as "always on top" - When restarting Phoenix, consider using the last log file so that diagnostics that are performed over a series of reboots get appended to the same diagnostic log file

Awesome thanks! It’s a great program and however for my workload (gpu and cpu mining) it just doesn’t work well as I get alot of crashes. I hope the December update helps if I can tell program “hey I am mining right now now gaming”

What if you need single-threaded performance? Loading a game for example? Opening a browser? This will remain in IDLE mode and the system will be very slow to react to anything.

Yes, you understood correctly the innovation I am preparing. For example, you specify that you have to use one single static profile for the mining application. This will save you from crashes and HYDRA won't have to switch profiles all the time.

I like submit scores in many different benchmark competitions and for that i sometimes need to do lots of testruns to find the best settings/maxclockspeed/tweaks... And when i'm doing these testruns its important to keep the cpu clockspeed in-check between runs, so i use CTR to set a static OC, like P2profile 1300mv 4800/4700mhz -> activate profile and run bench... Could you incorporate a easy way to do this in hydra also ? I also want the option to go over the maximum 1425mv for the P2profile in CTR as it limits me somethings in very light allcore workloads.

Considering I'm not a PC wiz, but am still interested in all of this, I'd like to see a feature with possible suggestions. Radeon software contains a logging feature which analyses the behaviour of my GPU while actually performing tasks and then shows data to let me know where there's room for improvement. Right now we diagnose our CPU under several tests, but once I put it to normal use it'll crash every now and then. Now I know that we have the logging feature with the + and - on CO, but I had to ''heat up'' the desktop with my GPU to get different and more stable results with the general diagnostics. I for example have no idea when I need to choose between a CO adjustment or a game-offset or AVX offset change.. I hope I kinda make sense..!

Hello Yuri. The Profile Diagnostic Time in Hydra is very long @5950X CPU for 4 Profiles..(thats OK :) but)->..... can you make a "PAUSE" breake mechanism.... so that I can stop the diagnostics, safe and continue at a later time????? and the cpu quality test of CTR in hydra would be a great idea and some way to compare the voltages and settings with other users. Forum? Website with Data from other user settings? greets

MSI Afterburner and RTSS won't start with Hydra running, if i close Hydra, start Afterburner and RTSS and then reopen Hydra it runs fine. What's blocking the start of Afterburner?

Keyboard-only support for when you haven't got a mouse plugged in.

Set EDC per profile

More robust logging that is recorded _before_ crashes occur, so that when I reboot I have a log of what happened, rather than a blank log with no record of the crash. I assume this would be a significant undertaking in developer time and possibly a significant performance hit, otherwise I think you'd already be doing it. But I can dream, right?

I have no problems running them alongside one another. Is your version of AB the latest? (I am running 4.6.4 for a while with no problem).

А русскоязычные пользователи будут поожерживаться, хотя бы в виде инструкции на русском?

Would be nice for something I paid for to actually function. So far have got nothing out of this. Hydra spits out completely random and inaccurate values. So it’s unusable. Posted logs on discord admins have no idea and given me nothing to go on, just told to wait. What a waste of money!

Anonymous

Waste? You kidding? It is the price of cheapest cup of coffee!

Anonymous

What exactly is the problem? It seems like this is user error and maybe you don't know what you're doing. Waste? unusable? random values?.... Mkay

Anonymous

What would anybody do with the values you posted? I had Hydra do the same in some runs, where cores randomly crash, yet overclocks are running fine with some tweaks I made. Maybe you could describe what the problem is. Are you using Hydra OC or the BIOS, etc. That might give others the chance to help you. Otherwise don't be surprised if people say "usererror".

Works great for me! I am very happy. I had some crashing initially during gaming or AVX2 mining loads, however I followed the directions and was able to get stable with quite a multicore increase. But by your reply it seems like you dont want help... just to complain. Good luck with that Karen.

I am wondering if and when Hydra will be released for sale to the public in a "final version". I have a 5950X rig and have been paying $15 per month through Patreon for the last 4 or 5 months. I still have not run CTR or Hydra on my machine because I felt like they were too buggy and I wanted to wait for the program to mature. The monthly fees are adding up and soon I will have paid more money for CRTR/Hydra that I have for HWINFO64 Pro, AIDA64 Extreme, and Aquasuite. It seems like CTR has been replaced with Hydra which is being updated about once per month. Will the development ever end? Will there be a final version that I can just pay for when its released?

Anonymous

Hi! This is new implementation of CTR 2.1?

Sorry for the inconvenience :( As you may have noticed the project gets new features every month. Once a quarter, it receives significant updates. The applications you are comparing do not get any new features, and if they do it turns into a new version which requires a new license. HYDRA subscriber has access to all versions and all new features without limitation, has access to Discord and direct communication with me or the experts. Fixing bugs is a natural occurrence for any application and any company. Since I am not a huge company with a hundred programmers, releasing a super stable finished version becomes a super difficult task. I am faced with a dilemma: either add new features and fix bugs at the same time, or stop developing new features and only fix bugs. By the way, a plan that costs $10 instead of $15 has been available for a while now. I will think about how to make sure that users have a version with as few bugs as possible.

Hi Yuri. Thanks for your detailed response. I agree with everything you said except the part about HWINFO, Aquasuite, and AIDA64. The author of HWINFO is constantly updating this program. The program has to be updated frequently just to keep up with new product releases. He is constantly adding support for new components. Aquasuite is not updated as often as HWINFO but they do release updates several times per year. Last year they added several major new features. None of these updates require a new license or additional payments though their licenses do require renewal. AIDA64 Extreme gets infrequent updates but they also have to keep up with new hardware. Their license is perpetual (I think). I bought and AIDA64 license years ago and have never had to pay again. I did not know about the $10 option and will definitely look into this. Keep up the great work!

Sometimes the apps you described above can take about a minute to think. Don't worry, they will start on their own anyway.

I would prefer it be accessible directly through Hydra, but the Windows Event Log would be better than no log! 👍
