Download vamX.1.7.var - for VaM 1.20.77.x
Or download vamX.1.7.var from Mega
(6/9/21 Update: Some vamX Environments automatically move poses as you move around the environment. Both this feature and loading dance animation location were broken when used with vamX.1.7. If you use vamX Environments and downloaded vamX.1.7.var before June 9th, download vamX.1.7.var again to get the latest version)
Addon Packages (optional) Full Addon Packages folder (3.1 GB) (You must still download vamX 1.7 in addition). Some vamX items and pages are marked in-game as AddOn, to use those items you need the Addon Packages. The Addon Packages haven't changed since 1.6.
To use vamX, download the vamX package and put it in your Virt-a-Mate AddonPackages folder, then open Virt-a-Mate and load the regular vamX scene (see vamX Help for more info).
For advanced users, or those already familiar with vamX functionality you can load vamX into any scene using the Merge Load scenes. If this is your first time using vamX, just open the vamX scene, there are a huge amount of environments / scenes, stories, looks and animated movement within the vamX main scene!
USE VAMX IN ANY SCENE
vamX can now load into any scene. To Load vamX into a scene open the Virt-a-Mate main menu -> main UI (the upper left corner of the UI with three horizontal lines). Go to the File (Open/Save) tab, then press Merge Load Scene. Choose the vamX.1.7 package from the left side, then choose the correct Merge Load scene based on if your scene has no people, one person, or multiple people.
Changing looks, clothes, adding voice/music, detecting and animating most current poses (based on what it was: sex, bj, etc.), changing pose, adding toys, BDSM, fantasy items, changing lighting, adding plugins, facial expression emotions for the female and changing the environment (for example if you start with a scene that is basically just a look or pose, you can add the background Scene).
Areas for improvement:
When moving poses it would be better if we had a side view of the pose during movement. vamX needs better facial expressions including sound for all people including males. Dance animations need a better loading sequence to help them be placed. Dance animations needs to save their location so future animations load in the new set location. When stopping placing poses by pressing VR trigger the vamX UI is toggled hide/show, which should not happen when placing poses. When moving poses that include a threesome that is attached it's awkward to place the pose, you need to first place the pose when only two of the people are moving, then reload the pose, perhaps twice, to get the third person to appear.
Limitations (won't be improved):
Some stories will probably always require the environment to either be one of the vamX scenes, or to manually position the environment around the people. VAMSync doesn't work without manually configuration of the plugin on scenes with thrusting that is not controlled by vamX.
If you want to use a scene with a video-game type character with hair or other items that are assetbundles it may be easiest to open the scene with that person in it, then merge load vamX.
For scenes with two people, without animation, open Action and press Smart Thrust. To get the thrust moving (more quickly) set the Arousal to Climax slider (further right is faster).
For complex scenes that include animation and moaning, female moans may play from both vamX and your scene if you start an action. To get rid of some of the original scene's female moans (may also stop timeline animations) go to vamX -> Plugins and press Clear All Plugins, or on the last Plugins page remove only Female plugins. You can also manually remove plugins like VAMMoan or EasyMoan from the person plugins tab. To instead remove vamX moans, go to Sound -> Moans -> second page -> No Moan Sounds.
When needed, for example when merge loading into a scene without people, or when loading a new environment (vamX Scene tab) vamX will link the pose to your camera / VR controller until you press VR trigger, the vamX UI button, or Pose -> End Move. This allows you to place the people in a good location in the scene. Often times you must put poses close to where you want (not touching anything) and place them temporarily, then adjust your camera and press Pose -> START MOVE again to position them more precisely.
See the features section below for more information and tips on loading vamX into scenes.
SAVING & LOADING CUSTOM VAMX SCENES
You can also save (and load) scenes created with vamX, including standard vamX and merge loaded scenes. This way you can customize a vamX experience, save it, and load it later to resume that experience.

For female and male looks you can now quickly load both Legacy (vamX uses Legacy looks) or new Appearance Preset type looks. For example from Female -> Load Custom Look you now must choose either Load Legacy or Load New looks. If you have saved Appearance Presets (from the Person -> Appearance Presets tab) or have var packages with Appearance Presets load them using Load New looks. vamX custom look packages are still in the Legacy format, so to load a vamX custom look, for example a look from the looks packs, use the Load Legacy button.
You can now add female pelvis gyrating (circular movements) as well as male hip gyrating (forward and back gyrating). These are in the last page of the Action tab. If you want the people to stay mostly in their current pose, but just gyrate a little, you can stop all thrust in the Action tab, click the left arrow to go from the first to the last action page, then turn on Gyrate for the female or male. You can also go to Action -> Start Smart Thrust and then add extra gyration for sexier movements.
Adding vamX to other Scenes
To Load vamX into a scene open the Virt-a-Mate main menu -> main UI (the upper left corner of the UI with three horizontal lines). Go to the File (Open/Save) tab, then press Merge Load Scene. Choose the vamX.1.7 package from the left side, then choose the correct Merge Load scene.
If the scene has two or more people, merge load "Merge Load vamX into Scenes With People". If the scene already has animation, the animation will continue until you load a new Pose (for example if you just want to swap around looks, change hair, lighting, etc.). If a scene starts with, for example, foreplay, you can then switch to sex by pressing any vamX sex pose. When you first switch to a vamX pose the main people are attached to you (your view in desktop mode or your controller in VR mode). Move the people near the location you want, then press END MOVE (or the Virt-a-Mate menu vamX UI button). Make sure they aren't intersecting any other objects when you press END MOVE. If its hard to get the perfect position, just put them near your final position (not touching any objects), then press START MOVE again to further adjust and fine tune the position. If you have a third person in the scene, and have chosen a pose where the third person stands separately and watches, you will have the chance to set the third person's positions once you finish setting the couple's position.
Many scenes are often just one, non-animated female ("look scenes"). For these types of scenes (or any scenes with only one person), merge load "Merge Load vamX into Scenes With Female Only" to start using vamX with that look / scene. After merge loading vamX, the easiest way to start using the scene is to first select a Pose, (enable the Male if you want) then go to Action and start an action. You can also start her dancing (although it will be in a sort of random place in the scene) through Other -> Dance. If the scene is just a look, without much of an environment, go to Scene and choose a scene for optimal placement of poses and dances with that look.
If the scene is just an environment without any people in it, merge load "Merge Load vamX into Scenes Without People". When loading into an environment without any people the vamX female appears, and is attached to you (your view in desktop mode or your controller in VR mode). Move her near the location you want, then press END MOVE (or the Virt-a-Mate menu vamX UI button). Make sure she isn't intersecting any other objects when you press END MOVE. If its hard to get the perfect position, just put her near your final position (not touching any objects), then press START MOVE again to further adjust and fine tune the position.
When you want to change to a new scene after merge loading a few scenes, it's often a good idea to reset Virt-a-Mate to make loading further scenes faster. Open the Virt-a-Mate main UI (the upper left corner of the UI with three horizontal lines). Go to File (Open/Save) and press Hard Reset (red button near the bottom). It's often quicker to hard reset, then load a scene, instead of just directly loading that scene.
Improved move poses. Now, after you set the couple's pose, if there is a third person, you then set the third person's location. You only set the third person's location if the person is standing separately, not if they are part of a vamX threesome pose where all people are touching. As before, move poses sets locations separately for standing poses and lying down poses. Lying down poses include all poses that aren't standing, including seated poses. Once a standing location is set, all further standing poses load at that location. Same for lying poses. You can manually move poses any time by going to vamX UI -> Pose -> START MOVE.
Fixed one of the You're Definitely Going to Make Me Cum moans. This moan showed a bubble dialog with written text instead of playing the audio file. It now plays correctly and doesn't show a bubble dialog.
When starting Action, standard animations for that person are cleared. If you have person atom timeline animations, you can clear those by going to Plugin -> Clear All Plugins or manually disabling the Timeline animation plugin for that person.
If the penis and pussy don't quite align, you can drag the penis position slider or go to Action -> Stop All, adjust the pose manually, then go to Pose -> Custom to save the current pose as a custom pose. Once you've pressed Custom Pose, if you go to Action -> Stop All it will reset the pose to that Custom pose. Also the thrusting actions will be recalculated to hopefully correct the alignment during sex. The thrusting action should automatically work based on common sexual activities such as sex, hand job, blow job, female dominant sex, etc.
If you try to load a vamX Pose in a custom scene, and the pose won't load, you may need to first disable whatever plugins may be controlling the pose in that custom scene. Going to Plugins -> Clear All Plugins & Enable vamX Movement will probably clear the plugins, after which you can go ahead and load whatever pose you want.
The first time you load a pose in a custom scene, you will automatically be set to start moving that pose, so the pose doesn't load in the middle of an object, since you haven't set a pose location for that scene yet.
If you are using a sex animation built into a scene, and want to use vamX to add male and female moans (including the Plugins -> VaMMoan) you should manually set the Arousal to Climax slider or start a Female or Male Gyrate in the last page of the Actions menu.
By default if you don't have any vamX action running, the female won't talk and won't have vamX moans. If you turn on male or female gyrate, you'll also get moans (unless you then go to Sound -> Moans -> 2nd page -> No Moan Sounds to turn off vamX moans).
Known Bugs for vamX 1.7
Dance animations need a better loading sequence to help them be placed, including placement of atoms, like a strip pole, which should be placed with the dance animations.
Problem with male head movement in VAMasutra lying down 69 pose.
One user said that when they were building looks vamX was being included as a dependency because of morphs. If anyone has that issue please try this alternate version of 1.7 and let me know if it helps: https://gofile.io/d/dtjuJN
When adding vamX to a scene where there weren't people, for the first scene used after opening Virt-a-Mate, vamX displays an error (although no problem is actually present, it just tries to make sure the scene is set up properly before the people have actually loaded).
Save/Load is probably imperfect. I noticed a bug where loading a scene while Smart Thrust was on loaded the correct pose, but then reverted to missionary. Please report any bugs with Save/Load for improvement in future releases.
