Hello everyone,

Hey, it's ya boi more personal post! How rare. Well, it's been a weird day mentally today. Not much of a roller coaster emotionally, but more one of controversy, hypocrisy and disappointment.

As some know from a few vague Twitter posts I made and discussions on my Discord, I was planning on making an Evangelion themed fan comic. Just because I felt motivated to do so, I love the character (design) of Asuka and her insecure bullishness. However, I got notified that Studio Khara is taking a more active stance on NSFW stuff surrounding their characters: https://comicbook.com/anime/news/evangelion-anime-fan-art-rules-no-hentai/ It's a disappointing to see, since there has been NSFW work being produced for decades of EVA in insane amounts. Sure, they may not do anything, but IF, I will be in a very weak position. A monetary fine would be the least of my problems, as a record will also lead to an arrest and expulsion from the country I love, live in and have a family. If anything, this is a good enough reason not to even attempt to work on a fan comic of Evangelion. Needless to say this feels incredibly hypocrite, hind sighted, and more so deeply insulting to fans worldwide. Especially in context to the contents of the franchise.

ANYWAY! In light of this forced retreat of a project I wanted to throw my passion at, a different theme. I have some ideas brewing, but I'd like to hear what you would be interesting to see from me. I'm talking about a comic that is roughly about 12 pages long, follows the themes I usually put out in comics, etc. It can be anything from an existing Japanese animation, a Western animation or game series or just simply The Secret Checkup 3. The latter however will require some more energy, since I have yet to muster up the will to complete the 3D modeled interior for the dentistry (which will be reused).

Hay it be cool if you did a Secret checkup 3 (by the way love 1 and 2) but if it means it will drain you mentally then you don't have to. If you are doing it though then you have my full support. :D

To be entirely frank, it's not worth it. The risk is definite, and I've seen enough similar instances in other industries to know that such companies will push on it and push hard. If they are promising it, the chances are that it will cause far more trouble for you than it's worth. Even without that fact, it's not a product I could support. Sorry, open to most things and accepting of others, but characters below 18 like that are breaking one of the three rules in such things. It's why in the few commissions for anime series I've requested from you over the years, it's always been comedic or humourous rather than titillating. If you want alternatives, there are a few good series worth considering. You did a great job with the last Yamato 2199 image, just for starters. That's just my two cents though, so please take it for what it's worth. P.S. I'm largely following for your artistic style. I'm not logging in on here too much at the moment, mostly due to being e-mailed updates, but any artwork from you is always great. The current starscreamers series is something that is visibly helping you as an artist, even if it's not my usual thing, and it's fun to see what you produce for it.

I can see there's some Gunsmith Cats influence on Star*Screamers, so why not go with that for your next doujin? (I admit, I've been re-reading the series lately) Maybe some FLCL with shiny Haruko?

Thank you for the input. It'd take a bit, but I've already prepared an interior design for the large part. I'll have to take a look at everything there to see if I can use it as is with minimal adjustments.

Thank you for the input. I'll probably settle for The Secret Checkup 3 after all. I don't think I'm motivated enough to do something with either series. :/
