my main issue with this episode is....it's That's So Raven. It's literally Raven's show, and we've seen her carry it. Chels, Eddie are fine. Cory can be fine too. but her parents? not so much. and this episode, raven felt like an entire side-character to cory, beans (i'm sorry he'll forever be beans), victor, and tanya. even at the end, like you said, it was as if they sided with cory and it was parents + corey, against raven. it just felt very weird. even the physical comedy which raven EXCELS at, they had tanya doing The Most(TM) and i'm sorry but she's just not as funny with physical comedy as raven is. it's like raven took a backseat in her own show and idk why the writers did it like that for this episode. also i think someone at disney has a complex lol i get the whole sibling rivalry dynamic, but they rehash the same thing. little sibling does something, older sibling gets blamed or it goes unnoticed at all. they did it with lizzie, even stevens, raven, phineas and ferb, etc. etc. etc. and it gets pretty tired after a point.

also if some little twerp was acting that creepy and weird around my teenage daughter and her friend, i'm sorry but that kid would NOT be welcome in my home and i'd be talking to my SON about boundaries and why that "friend" is not someone to immulate.

The actress who plays Chelsea recently did an interview and she said that Raven wasn't suppose to be the lead. She actually was Chelsea and when they did a try in front of the audience, she was so funny that they decided to make her the main lead. So considering that before that the network (disney) didn't think that a black female character could be the lead of a show, I'm not surprise that they made Raven take a backseat.

Sorry about all the pain you have been having. I hope you can get it figured out and that it’s all better very soon!!

Agree with the complex thing lol. They even do thr same thing with Wizards where Alex gets blamed for literally everything when she was doing nothing to cause harm. It drives me up the wall

Sorry to hear you're in so much pain. Hopefully it gets figured out soon and resolved! Feel better, Steven!

It's funny but I really only remembered the Victor stuff from this episode. I can't believe how insanely creepy they made Cory and Miles. This episode would have never been made today. Obviously we're all a little more knowledgeable these days than we were twenty years ago. It's the subliminal messages of things like this that makes kids grow up thinking, as perpetrators and victims, that this is acceptable behaviour. It's rapey, is what it is. And yeah, really wish Tanya had more of a reaction when she was told the two boys were trying to hypnotise Raven and Chelsea. And that Victor and Tanya had rightfully gotten angry at and punished Cory at the end. If I was the parent, Miles would not only be getting banned from the house, I'd be giving Cory a stern talking to and explain why consent is a big deal AND ringing up Miles' parents to inform them of what had just happened.

nyssa, i had to stop watching wizards for that reason. i get alex can be a little shit at times but the dad is way too hard on her and some of the stuff he says, boarders on mean. i think it was the episode where he stopped talking to her and she tried to make his favorite dinner or something and he was acting horrible to her. no child should have to bend over backwards, making their parents their favorite meal, etc. just to get their parent to speak to them. at that point, i was done. and not to mention this line of storytelling also rewards characters like cory in this show, saying it's okay to treat your sister like dirt and shmooze your parents. it just sends a weird message imo.

i do not remember Cory having a crush on Chelsea....so i wonder if this is the only episode. Cory is a funny character but i think season 1 he's just a typical baby brother.

I believe you mean the carpet episode which is the 6th episode of the first season? Neither did anything wrong really and he wasn’t really even that mad at her he just didn’t want to teach her to fly because he didn’t want her to grow up. Although I do think he overreacted, it wasn’t that bad.
