Yea i feel ya, it would be nice to see a limit for the mainstream characters. But im also kinda conflicted on it, since it is popular demand, and i dont even know how id make the separation. Id certainly like to see more of the lesser known.

Trend detected: characters with more human or anime style features have been less popular among Ash's fans. Characters with snouts are more popular. Even the Argonian has received more votes than the two, er... flat faced characters. Apologies, I am actually a fan of Callie. I am simply making an observation. Ash may not be the ideal artist to whom to continue to suggesting these characters.

I disagree, waai fu, the anime one, is the fourth most popular vote so far just bellow the "mainstream" and has more votes than the argonian maid. She actually had a decent chance of getting in.

The curse of patreon-voting : whatever is the current trend takes the lead. I would be interesting to have one or more months where instead of mixing obscure and mainstream chars we would only have the obscure ones only. Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with (some of the) famous figures...but at this point, the likes of Callie and Waai Fu only exist to be a stepping stone for the others. Then again, votes are usually based on previous posts, so.... ye.

@Sierra Six This is why this system is rigged and it needs to be seperated into two polls per month: one poll for mainstream and another for lesser-known characters. This way, the likes of Callie, Waai Fu, Haley, Ginger (the Dust characters that almost got into the poll, but they still didn't) and others can still have a chance, even if in the current system, the poll doesn't represent how community-favoured they are. These characters need to be in a fair competition where they don't get crushed by the trendy characters.
