Iman (Sana) and Cengiz (Yousef) are Muslim in real life and were in fact fasting when they filmed the lscenes at the harbour. Sunset is really late in June so it is so impressive that they were able to film. Also, I loved how their relationship developed during this season. Slowly but surely and after a lot of contemplation. I think they managed to show how difficult it is for a devout person in a secular society.

Sorry for the subtitle fail with the messages... I missed those. :-/ Not that it matters now, but Sana texts "Oh, are you leaving this Saturday? I can't this week." and "I hope you get the best summer ever!" The text from Chris says "Yo girls, how about a test run with the van on Friday? I know it's not /russetiden/ 2018 yet, but it has to be ok with a short run?".

Iman and Cengiz are muslim in real life which is why we never got a scene of them kissing, but i didnt need to see them kiss to feel the connection and chemistry betweem those 2 actors.

He did kiss Noora though, so I think it was mainly Iman’s choice, and I love that Andem respected that (she could’ve used a stand-in, but she didn’t and I think that was very respectful towards the group of girls Sana represented in the show, and important for them to be able to identify with her).

Sana was the one who talked to Yousef about cockroaches back when they had their first conversation about faith. She used it as an example of why she believed in God - because stuff like that could not be a coincidence. In this episode, Yousef uses it to remind Sana why she believes in God. He thus shows Sana that he understands her faith and can help remind her why she believes in God in times of doubt. This was her mother's concern in terms of her marrying a non-muslim.

Some (fun?) facts and theories: in an interview Cengiz explained that Andem initially wanted him to audition for the role as Even (she was introduced to him through Herman who plays P-Chris sometime during s2) but he said he couldn’t play a gay character. Some wonder whether she got the inspiration for Mikael/Even’s backstory from that reaction. The actor who plays Mikael’s real name is actually Yousef, and he’s publicly been very supportive of the LGBT community eg on social media. In the very first Hei Briskeby video, Mikael spells out “I am Mi- Yousef” in sign language which later gave rise to the theory in some parts of the fandom that Mikael/Even’s story was in fact Yousef/Even’s (the Naescar theory) and some of the other Briskeby videos can be interpreted like that, although not a lot in canon supports this apart maybe from the fact that Mikael drinks alkohol in s4.1 (implying he’s not particularly religious). It’s still pure speculation of course (and some claim the theory has been debunked since the boys said in an interview that most of the videos are improvised) but still rather fun to watch the HB videos with that theory in mind.

You're right, i forgot about Noora. It is still amazing that the 2 main love story in this season never kissed and barely touched and i still felt the chemistry between them.

Me too, but I’m also kind of happy he turned it down, otherwise we wouldn’t have had Henrik as Even, and he really did an amazing job.
