Ey folks, just checking in!
The next build is coming along, and I hope to have it out before leaving on a short trip mid-February. In this build, I've finished refining the pleasure and arousal values for all body-on-body interactions (and fixed a few that were off, thanks to your reports!), and I've started running down the list and cleaning up reticle positioning and input bounds. In other words, I'm polishing the interaction interface so that the mouse movements feel natural when touching, stroking, spanking, etc.
The next step after that is what we've all been patiently waiting for: cleaning up the animations themselves and making sure things look pretty in motion. That'll likely kick off in 0.2.12.
After that, I'll be able to safely say that the body-on-body interactions are all good to go, and my plan after that is to take all of these loose systems that I've built and combine them into a proper game format: the 3D analogue of that old Rack v0.1 demo that started this whole adventure, years ago, ready to be expanded with toys and content.
There are many experimental systems I've tried over the past few years that I enjoy and plan to refine (e.g. chemical processing, lab editing, the research system), as well as many experimental systems that I think are busts (e.g. the inline dialogue system, the tutorial segments) and will likely scrap to pare the game's scope back down. It's no surprise that the scope of this game has spiraled beyond what I originally intended, and biting off more than I can chew has turned this project into a monster that I'd desperately like to tame.
For what it's worth, I'm also considering contracting an artist to help me wrap things up. I'm not ready to start posting job openings or anything just yet, but if you happen to be qualified and interested, feel free to shoot me a message.
Anyway - this is just my regular reminder that I'm not dead, and I'm still working!
