@Ira Wechsler - That should be an ENVIRONMENTAL (or Green) egalitarian communism. The ideology that is most suited to the 21st Century paradigm and the most equipped to concertively deal with both climate mitigation (to a point) and species/humanitarian welfare. But in order for this to work effectively, people need to keep their gods and religious ideologies in the top drawer of their bedside cabinets, or better still, relinquish those archaic belief systems. Remember, the biosphere is now in flux. A cryosphere in retreat. An ongoing mass extinction underway and gaining pace... And a human population that is fast approaching 8 billion, despite a fall in birth rate.
