It's 2020, folks. I think we're used to rollercoasters by now.

This one has a happy ending tho (no, not like that!)

So based on my interactions from yesterday, I had signed out of f95 for the final time and had zero intention of having anything further to do with the site. I even chose to just cancel my mod ticket myself because it was hopeless.

Well, something happened as a result of that somewhere...

Today, I received a DM on Discord from Sam, one of the two site admins. He had personally reopened the ticket and took over the situation personally in an attempt to "lend more credence" to the response. He left a lengthy response apologizing for the situation and gave me ample clarification. While it would be easy to just paste his response, he was fairly candid in his remarks and I'm going to respect that and not publicly share it. He clarified that there were some mod-related issues that he was going to handle and personally reinstated all of my deleted posts in addition to the posts that others had responded to.

Because it was such a lengthy issue, I had originally left out a section of the story where a troll had originally responded to my pro-diversity comment, calling it "racist." I could only imagine that was the person who originally reported my post in the first place. Sam has confirmed that the troll was given a formal warning for race-baiting, something I would have personally done as a mod but nothing that I had requested.

At this point, I am impressed with Sam's involvement by trying to reach out to me both on f95, in the ticket, reopening the ticket, and then finally tracking me down through Discord to personally resolve the situation. He didn't have to do that. That site is huge and there's a lot bigger projects than mine and probably thousands of tickets to sort through. He has taken steps to resolve the issue and I can honestly say I feel more comfortable and harbor no hard feelings.

As a result, I no longer feel like pro-diversity comments were silenced and I am optimistic again. All game links for Straight!? on the f95 forums have been reinstated and I feel comfortable based on Sam's leadership, at returning to the site again. Hopefully, that lasts but right now, I will confirm that is still an active game dev connection.

I'll also say that I took the liberty to post on the forums and request that the discussion there returns to normal game talk and doesn't get hijacked with talk related to this incident. And while I initially made positive comments related to diversity, we shouldn't hijack the forums and try to make political or ideological statements or facilitate discussions like that. While that is very much needed in the world, porn forums aren't probably the most effective place to start that, haha.  I'm not a mod and have no power or admin rights there so it's simply a request that I hope people will respect. That's clearly against the rules and I'm not trying to make us a target. We've done good in our little corner and I'd like to keep it that way. Our community should be able to behave and  not require much moderation.

So cheers, diversity won this round, folks.

Even our porn channels are being politicized by douchenozzles... can we not all just cum in peace? smh. I am glad that you'll still be reachable through f95zone.to because there are a lot of decent people there. I mean, hell, that's where I found out there were even gay Ren'py games in existence. Plus the creators and fans are a hoot.

Yo, haven't talked to you in forever. Yeah, there are. I'm glad things got resolved. Yeah, I feel like we sorta started gaying that place up a bit but yeah...not sorry 😝🤙
