v019 Teaser 1 (Patreon)

I've been struggling to get a DevLog out for the past week and had meant to have it out before the first teaser but I ended up spending more time on the game than I did reporting on the game so I'm doing things a bit backwards. Hopefully, I'll have that out in the next few days.

But I wanted to show off at least something that I have so far (there's a lot more done than this--more on that later). This next update has been really hard to show off images without spoilers so it's taken awhile to get something that felt justified enough for a teaser image.

But here you go, here's the first teaser for v019. I'm really happy with the character positions in this scene. While Ash usually sits like this, we haven't really had much of a chance to see that yet. Eagle-eyed players may have spotted him sitting like this at the coffee shop table but this scene shows it off a bit more. It captures a subtle, child-like vulnerability to his character that we've seen bits and pieces of so far in v018. I'm also going to draw attention to Braden's position, simply because I actually had to have someone model this for me using the back of my couch and I was happy with how it turned out. It really captures his mood in this particular scene.
