Best I can explain for now is exactly what the narrator said. The orb was a rock for sometime before the wolf died on the rock. It became a wolf and now a human in the form of the boy who passed in front of him. I’m so glad you’re reacting to this series and hope we can get more content from this🔥

The best way to explain it is the orb can shapeshift, so it was originally an orb, then a rock, then when the wolf died on the rock it became the wolf, and then it became the boy once the boy died. Really happy you're reacting to this series Ruff! Its really heartfelt and a amazing show

Imo this is the best anime of last season and the opening for the season or the ending for the first episode is sang by Utada Hikaru she is the one who sings all the openings for kingdom hearts!
