See, this is why I need to throw in excessive techno... Well, MAGIC-babble.

There has to be enough that you can never be 100% sure what's foreshadowing, and what's just me being a rambling nerd.

Granted, It wouldn't shock me at all if some people immediately assumed that the "you all look blurry" bit 100% guaranteed "someone suitable" would be present.

it'd take a LOT of comics to setup if done, but I'd happily look forward to "Nanase and Rhoda start a support group for "normal people that keep having magic nonsense happen at them because some creatures from a magical otherworld keep thinking they're royalty." Nanase: "lemme guess. a tribe of amazon mermaids showed up in the river and insisted on dragging you into the water so you could marry their princess, but you can't swim. that about right, miss?" Rhoda: "we have cookies and punch over here and we're available if you want to talk about it."
