Hey everyone!

I've been testing Captain Hardcore on the Quest 2 today, the increased power and screen resolution are truly awesome! After adjusting some things I managed to get it running at a solid 72fps - so the overall experience is much smoother than on Quest 1.

I've just released an update (0.3.1) with these performance tweaks and Captain Hardcore will continue to support both Quest 1 and 2 in the future. If you're using Q1 and already installed version 0.3 you don't need to download this - the performance increase is only noticeable on the Q2.

Quest 1 and 2 will always use the same .apk to install (there aren't two separate versions) but you'll be able to spawn more objects on the Quest 2 before the performance dips. I may eventually add some extra graphical settings for Q2 that take advantage of the extra power.

For the next major Quest update (v0.4) I'll try and improve performance further, this should make it possible to enable multiple characters on the Quest 2. I might be able to do this on Q1 as well, but won't know if it's possible until I make further progress.

PC players: To make sure everything was ready for the Quest 2 launch I focused on the standalone version more than usual over the last couple of weeks, but I've also been making great progress with male characters in the PC version! You can see some early images above!

I've started with a generic male while I get the basics like animation, physics, genitals, materials, and corrective morphs working. It uses mostly the same systems as the female character, but there's still a lot of work needed to get everything functioning correctly. There will be a basic male character in 0.8, then I'll work on the appearance, clothing and customisation options in another update.

Focus is 100% back on the PC version now so I'll update again as soon as I have more details!

Thank you all so much for the incredible support!

I was blown away by the quest 2 version. I only had the pc version in anticipation for the quest 2 to come out and I just want to say it surpassed my expectations.

Suggestions on Quest version: 1. when you auto hide the dots, make an option to also not show them when your hands get close. 2. Make a toggle on the controller to lock and unlock the dots in place so when we switch to hands and grab, we don't accidentally move the dots.

Thank you. This software is awesome.

Does this mean, we will get futas one day?

Fantastic keep up the great work!

Uhmm, sorry for being new and novice but how do I get captain hardcore to work on quest 1? It shows that it’s downloaded but can’t access it?

From the main menu/home, click in the top right corner where it normally says "All" and change it to "Unknown Sources". The side loaded apps won't show in the main list, they all get pushed to the unknown sources category.

How do you select a manipulation point for tracking on the Quest version? I see the menu option but can't make it work.

Hi! I'm a new supporter but a longtime VR user and I had to comment to tell you how great this app is. The production quality on the PC version was really well detailed out, and the Quest version is just as impressive. All the customization features and the physics are really amazing, and with the hand-tracking, there's a whole new level of immersion. Can you say if there are plans to expand the range of vocal and environmental sound effects? I find that that auditory feedback is more important to the experience than most people think. I think that additional foley sound effects for character interactions as well as a few different voice models with different levels of intensity would really kick it up a notch. Great work, and thank you!

Same, I can’t seem to get the item tracking to work in any way

Amazing production quality on both versions! Hope we can get the ship on the quest version too. Love the environment!

Is there a way to hide to autohide the glowing anchor point balls on PC version like on the quest? Also is there a way to lock all or individual anchor points to so don't accidentally knock things out of wack? Would love to see those features on both versions!

I would like to see this project being directed towards being a story driven experience - instead of the ultimate wank-a-thon. How it was intended. When will we see progress there?

CaptainHardcore

Thank you! Yes, in the PC version you can set joint handles to always hide. Locking the character isn't possible but a great idea, I'll see if that can be done in the future!

CaptainHardcore

That's the plan, once the core of the game is mostly finished (characters and sex mechanics) I'll start working on gameplay systems.

How do I add different characters and stages?

thank you for the work you are putting into the quest version...amazing. please look at adding the face morphs. i love character creation so the more options the better. every single update you get 10 more bucks from me ...but thats cool because i appreciate the work you are putting into this.

would love to see the ponytail and bun from the quest come to the PC version. Maybe long straight hair with bangs length and style adjust option. Long as you keep updating this is will gladly keep paying monthly. This is crazy ha.

Love the hands free idea. Is there any way this could work for a Rift S?

I don’t really know what I got a quest 2 for other than this, so thanks for your hard work. The graphics and design are amazing, a pretty mind blowing app already —looking forward to more updates on the standalone version. Cheers!

Just one thing, how does the "attach" feature work on Quest? The pointer turns blue but I can't do more than that apparently.
