Hey everyone, the next build of Captain Hardcore will feature Custom texture import!  This will bring much deeper character customisation to the game.

  • Import ANY Daz genesis 3 or genesis 8 textures, or your own custom textures!
  • Supports .jpg, .png and .bmp format.
  • Place them in the Texture Import folder and select them using the new in game file browser.
  • There are slots for diffuse, specular, roughness, normal, bump and decals. Use the decal slot to add custom makeup and tattoos!
  • I'll also be adding multiple preset textures.
  • File paths for imported textures are saved with your character presets, as long as they are in your texture folder they will always load with the character.

It took slightly longer to build this feature than I expected, but I'm polishing it off now and will complete as many other new features as I can for a release in the next week or two!

Thank you everyone!

How does png and jpg pictures work on this game? Ive seen this used in other games, is there some kind of encoding in them? Id love to learn more!

Amazing. As someone who has invested heavily in Daz3D - literally over a thousand Gen 3 and 8 models - and imported them into experiments I'm doing with Unity... this opens up tremendous opportunities. The skins can make all the difference :) Next up... import your own models ;)

Any progress on Quest version?

That's absolutely incredible. Can't wait for it to come out! Think there's any chance of seeing piercings soon?

Very nice makes diversity much easier and opens the 'game' to people who just love making textures and looks etc should gain u many more pats .. cos some of us just really enjoy making/designing and such .. this is a great step :)

Unreal has built in functions for converting images to textures, I had to make some changes to get normal maps importing correctly but you can read the engine source code to see how it works.

Hello good morning, I really liked the work you have done in all this time, so much that I do not let go of my penis .. hahaha it's a joke, also tell you that I would like very much that you can add: more clothes, styles of breathability / body water, male bodies with the same physics (which are spectacularly made), more lights and many more things .. I am not an idiot, I know it costs a lot of work, do not think I say this to speed up work or things like that, seriously I do not do it for that, what I would like to tell you with this comment is that you never forget that it is missing ... if you want to hurry, things They will go wrong and we will not pay, if you do it calmly, it will go well and we will pay with pleasure. all said friend, good luck and we wait for updates.
