Why do my Images keep Disappearing from the Image/Faction URLs (Patreon)

This has been a question I have heard many times over the last couple of weeks.

In a nutshell the UI doesn't do a good job of validating the image urls.

We clean those url's out of the database that don't match the regular expression (https?://.*.(?:png|jpg|jpeg|gif|png|svg))
