This post was sadly too late to be shared by the end of September, and I'm sorry for that, again. That said, I turned that little slip-up into an opportunity, because by releasing it today instead, I'm commemorating the release of Metroid Dread, and I've heard a lot of good reviews about it so it's good to see that the franchise in general has been getting positive attention! Hopefully that means more Samus art lol but then again there's plenty as it is. XD

I don't think this one really needs any explanation that I haven't already given, but I will say that it was surprisingly not as difficult as I feared to add the Power Suit after I finished the pic in its entirety. The way I compose layers together actually worked in my favor in this case especially! Because of this, I decided to include not only her classic armor, but an alternate version with the new Dread power suit as well. It took me quite a lot of research to get the latter to look right and I still don't think it's entirely accurate, but I wanted to get this posted before tonight was over and hopefully what I did produce is close enough. You can check out all the components that went into each of these versions in the TIFF file I've also attached to this post. Beware of its Ridley-tier enormity, though - there's at least 35 layers in there, and I think I lost count by the time I started drawing the Power Suit! XD
