New species to populate my fantasy world O:!

You might think that the Dranari's wings would go to waste beneath the earth's surface, but you'd be wrong. The massive caverns sprawl to undiscovered lengths, buried deep beneath a desert of powdered crystal that the locals call the shattered sands. So large is this place, that even rain falls here, moistening the moss covered stone and earth, hydrating the myriad of animals and plant life that continue to prosper despite the lack of sunlight.

Although places within the cavern are indeed dark, dimly lit by magical glowing crystal veins within the stone walls, the residents of this deep place have long since developed keen eyesight, allowing them navigate its unplumbed depths with ease.

Within this place a noble race of dragon dwell, made wealthy beyond imagination by the rare, magical crystals that only they know how to gather. Tall, intricate structures of hewn white stone protrude from the cavern floors, beautifully accented with dimly glowing veins of magical crystal. A more concentrated form of this same crystal glows brightly, allowing visiting races to navigate the carefully paved streets freely when placed within filigreed sconces.

A generous observer might refer to the Dranari as proud, a less charitable one as pompous and self aggrandizing. Although industrious and clever, the Dranari often spend the brunt of their time accumulating treasure and countless oddities to laud over their peers. 

Despite their mostly pervasive covetous nature, the Dranari, like any other race, are varied and complicated; Political groups clamor for control, the people long for change, and battles wage both within and without their walls.
