Edit: Yes, Itaewon is the name of the street/neighborhood. It’s pretty narrow space-wise but extremely popular for its nightlife scene, so it’s usually packed. There was actually a very tragic crowd crush incident there around last Halloween because the area literally couldn’t accommodate the amount of people trying to move through it.

Which based on their reactions I think is pretty likely🤷 I personally think Itaewon Class is one of the most overrated kdramas of all time. I’m ready!!!! This show is what officially got me into kdramas. I wouldn’t compare it to The Glory, both may be revenge themed but the stories and how they play out is different. Both great shows in my opinion. And Itaewon class I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) is the first K-drama to have a black character in the main cast. 🤩

damn we have some mid K drama suggestions, if you want grounded Korean dramas, Beyond Evil, is incredible. Strong, incredibly well written crime-detective thriller. Kingdom is on the coolest takes on the zombie genre, on netflix, and asks the question what if zombies in medieval korea? Signal is another crime, but well known as being of the strongest Korean shows and Stranger is a new series that follows a prosecutor and details corruption that exists in Korea's prosecution and justice systems. I rec one of these shows rather than the other samey K dramas

@Danger Tomato My Name is very predictable. I disagree it being weakest. There are kdramas out there that drags their story because they had to fit the usual 16 episodes format. People behind My Name knew what kind of show they were making. They never drag out the story. They were on point with the action. Most action storylines are very simple in nature. Just look John Wick, the first one had a very simple story and people enjoy it for it was. I argue it's the same thing for My Name.

Not sure if I'll put it over the Glory, but I have to agree with RockLee overall. It's such a good show and well worth the watch. Both shows are definitely at the top of my list as some of my absolute favorites, and I can't argue with anyone who would put one over the other.

you’re right, but that’s mostly because it also tries to juggle the slice of life stuff of being a comedy and a romance (which, to be fair, i don’t mind) at the same time as being a revenge tale and sometimes it doesn’t land. i feel like it could’ve been about four episodes shorter and kept the pacing of the main objective really well.
