Addressing YouTube confusion (Patreon)

Hi everyone.

My "Official Artist Channel" on YouTube is bugging out and customer service is giving me the runaround. (All my songs have been removed and new ones have replaced them.)

I am trying to find out if these odd unauthorized reuploads are somehow legitimate or not. While I figure this out, please refrain from reporting the channel to avoid anything legitimate deleted due to this confusion.

- Have been having problems with YouTube's auto-generated content since "There's Something Happening EP" was never released (still contacting customer support weekly regarding this, will figure it out soon, hopefully.)

- Lastly would like to note that all usage of Buttercup in ads is completely illegitimate, and if you see an ad with Buttercup in it, please feel free to report it. I have never licensed my music in advertising and I do not plan to. Have also been fighting this for a few weeks.

Needed to address these things unfortunately, I hope everyone is healthy. What a weird time.

Jack I have a question about this: I saw another channel with the same backdrops and username and information as yours, but the only video on it was buttercup. It wasn’t a “topic” channel though, as far as I could tell. I blocked it as I thought it was just someone pretending to be you. Is that you or not? Is that YouTube reuploading your music? I want to know whether or not I should unblock it. Anyways, I’m sincerely sorry that you have to deal with this! I know you will figure it out, though, I believe in you. I also can’t wait for Dinner is Not Over to be on YouTube so I can set it on loop, it’s my favorite song from the EP.

Hey Jack I have some information that might or might not help, Google is phasing out Google play music and perhaps that's why it moved things over because it's the official song. This is caused because YouTube music is now becoming Google's new music standard

Buttercup's been popping up in a lot of Chinese reality/ game shows at the moment too, not sure if that's a problem worth chasing, their whole thing with music licensing is pretty shady.

I know this is more then a month old but, alot of stolen audio has been taken to advertise crappy app games that are only there to generate money, more so people cant take legal action cause most of these companies are in places like china and russia, where copyright laws are constantly violated.
