Where the Magic Happens - Photos by Travis (Patreon)

This amazing black and white gallery was shot "where the magic happens" so to speak... know what I mean? The images are shot on my lover's bed, wearing his shirt, photographed by him. A short history on us... we dated ten years ago for two years when I lived in a party house. He is a musician and jammed with my roommates, and continued to remain in the scene with us all after we broke up 8 years ago. This summer we reunited, and he has been helping me with my vanlife transition. I could go on and on about his amazingness... anyway more about the photos!

Travis has been enjoying learning the settings on my Sony a7iii and can now easily modify the shutter/ iso/ aperture for different lighting scenarios, and he seems to be a natural at angles and composition :) Yayy for me! This gallery has been our first official patreon collaboration together, and I am overjoyed with the results!

Home is a feeling, not a location. At least that's what I have learned about myself recently. Part of the reason I used to limit my modeling tours to 12 days was because I felt "homesick".... all my family and most of my friends are up in Seattle. But home is a feeling, if I have people with me who give me that sense of home... someone I am connected with like my lover, or even my sister or mom... that longing to be in the *location* of home is remedied!

On this last trip I just returned from, I left on the drive from Seattle to Dallas, TX  on Oct 26, toured with a bunch of modeling gigs between Oct 30-Nov 8, adventured through Albuquerque and Sante Fe, and on the way back visited the Painted Desert, Crater Lake, and now I am "home"! Or I could say, I am in the vicinity of where most of my loved ones reside :)
