As you noticed it's end of September and build is still isn't out. So yeah we delay it a bit to about mid-October hopefully to let build bake a little bit more. We want the build to be ready in every way we want, so it feels like a legitimate game rather than an alpha prototype. It is so far the biggest update we ever did, adding big chunk of both content and technical additions.

Delay can be explained by several factors, firstly we just didn't realized the amount of work required to do all of this. Secondly the game undergoes significant update under the hood to optimize future quest creating, it is the first quest-line of this size so it brought up some flaws of our older system, so we are patching it in as we go to avoid train-wreck in the future. Thirdly it must be karmic revenge or something, but literally ever team members who actively contributed to this update got sick during production period. This doesn't mean we are taking a break, just slows down progress somewhat.

The build however is getting close to being done. 90% of the writing is already finished, 85% of art assets done. We are wrapping up scripting, dialogues and other quest preparation either today\tomorrow. But we still have to cover combat\HUD rehaul. We aren't completely making it from scratch, so it shouldn't take too long.

Here's a peek at some UI i drew for this update.

I recently did first play test of the quest, and was surprised it was interesting for me to play it. Despite i myself drew the location and read through main dialogue lines before they got into the build, but small exploration elements added by Valaska really spice things up. In addition introduction quest finally brings up flow of the game together, gives a sense of direction instead of feeling of "being lost" in previous builds. Sadly we didn't continue story past introduction, so after that player still goes into freeroam mode.

Sadly there isnt much more visual things to show off to you, due most of the work done since last dev log are questline scripting and engine update. And we want to avoid spoilers, to keep it fresh for our fans.

Hopefully next dev log will be last before this build is out. We thank all our fans for patience with this already overly delayed update.
