Future enemies concepts 2 (Patreon)

At this point isnt a concept rather sprite in progress. But yes, undead going to be one of new enemies from the set.

PFF undead though have one distinct difference from traditional fantasy undead. PFF undead aren't risen  via magic, undead are rather direct descendants from demon kind. Actual undead in reality is a small squishy "parasite", which embeds itself in carcass of more or less preserved fallen creature and reanimates it. Obviously this parasite has to continuously repair body like living have to, as well as need to feed.

New parasites comes from mature undead themselves, which can stay dormant for a while until suitable body is within reach. New bodies are obtained by mature undead killing a living creature or finding corpse in suitable condition. So in all undead behave mostly like social biological species, except they are designed by a demon.

Intelligence of undead vary greatly, its comes from very primitive feral ones to self-aware individuals on same level as living. Depending on circumstances and intelligence of majority, undead can from small communities or own functional cities.

Due their history, life cycle and unappealing appearance relationship with other races is complicated at best. Having hostile feral undead communities spread around the world makes things only worse.
