Cixin Liu's Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy is one of the most compelling pieces of science fiction I have ever read, and here we're going to talk about why (and also why it's definitely the weakest in the trilogy and why it may not be for you). It won the Hugo Award for best novel, though. It's hard sci-fi at its best.

Also, an update on the 2 hour cyberpunk video: I'm working closely with Alex, my editor (you can chat with him on the discord), and we've so far worked through about 45 minutes of the total special. The rest is all filmed and recorded, as well as mostly edited, but we need to review it, make changes, make sure it all flows the way I want. That sort of stuff takes time.

All going well, I should hopefully have it available for patrons very soon. There is also a trailer coming soon! Gotta build that hype.

The video after that is already written and to be filmed this week. It's an On Worldbuilding video voted for by you all.

Stay nerdy,

Tim

The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu REVIEW — Why is the universe so quiet?

I read The Three Body Problem over a year ago, and I just finished the two sequels The Dark Forest and Death's End last night. This series has some of the most mind boggling concepts in it, but it fights to convince you it's real. It also won the Hugo award for best novel. Let's talk about why. I'd like you to recommend books - some top 10 lists or something. I love reading Fantasy and Sci-Fi, and would like your opinions on what's good to read and why.

I think you should check out The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel. It was the series that started my immense love of books and Mythology. I think you’ll love it although it is a YA novel
