Jan, just for clarity’s sake, they are on Skeleton Island, not Skull Island.

No worries. I thought it was funny, you spinning all kinds of imaginary scenarios about Skull island. Very entertaining.

You mentioned a "long three years", but when looking at all the timeskips etc some of the fans of the show have theorized based on dialogue and other clues in the show (such as mentioned Christian holidays) that the entire show might have taken place in as little as a year; we start in spring 1715 and right now based on Mrs Hudson's comments of Christmas at the start of this season and the snowy weather in Boston, it is theorized to be the winter so end of 1715/start of 1716. This is however not sure as we do not know the exact timejumps between s2 and s3 and between s3 and s4. Just thought I would mention it because all of this shit happening within a year, god I get why Silver is tired alright lol Also you mentioned London, but Max and Anne and the Guthries are in Boston so in the Americas not in England. My favourite scenes in this episode have to be the scene between Idelle and Anne and the last scene between Max and Anne: 1. The first of the two because I adore how these side characters are given so much inner life and they are remembered and important; Charlotte was important to Idelle and she remembers her even if the viewer might have forgotten or the grander story might have, she hasn't. And it so brazenly goes against the common trope in media of the disposable sex worker (check TV tropes, for more on that: how they are killed and then forgotten in the story) and instead the writers say "no, what was done to Charlotte was wrong and it should be remembered. And there are people that care about her and they have value." Then Idelle defending Max like that, their friendship <3 anyways amazing scene loved that one. 2. Then the second of two between Max and Anne: I just really love to see Max reflect on the journey she has been on and her complicated and changing relationship to Eleanor throughout the show (as I mentioned before they are my favourites and their dynamic is so so good, saw it described online as them inventing messy gay divorce, like there is love there, there is hate there, it is very juicy). But then also Max seeming to return to valueing love over ambition for the first time since 1x02 when Eleanor broke her heart. Just really appreciated that scene for Max' growth and her and Anne maybe moving towards reconciliation. Also the actress who played Max did such a good job in that scene, such a great actress. (Didn't mention it but the actress who played Idelle did so good as well for the other scene) Honestly so much to comment on but it's all too much; really enjoyed all your discussions and ideas in this episode :)
