I didn't have a theme in mind last week so it just ended up being whatever I felt like that day. Like for Monday I wanted to do a space suit because I had been playing (and complaining) about Starfield the previous weekend. And one day I was just thinking about some normal folks. And one not very normal person.

I don't have any plans for the knife lady but she could fit into the SCP universe as one of the more malicious entities. The trouble is I think she's a relatively straightforward monster. Like... you can see the knives and the evil eye and that's kinda what the creature is about. If I really want to have a monster in the SCP vein of things, it's evilness needs to be a little less apparent. Not necessarily innocuous but covering a malice underneath the surface.

The lady with the spilled coffee is also about having a character with hidden depths. Hers are less readily apparent. But I just wanted to speak to everyone's inner worlds. Everyone has one.

Anyway, I know a lot of people here probably don't check the social media posts everyday so I'm going to start including the text from the social media posts here, in order of the pictures:

34: "No story behind this one. I just wanted to draw a space suit."

35: "Alex had a long day..."

36: "Vincent237 paid for his 1/7th share of the hotel room on time and was okay with taking the spot near the closet. He was fun to be around, even though you only met him for the con. You haven't thought about him since your WoW group disbanded but you hope he's good."

37: "Valeria has escaped containment. Deadly force is authorized. No unit is to deploy without an accompanying unit of engineers with mobile para-dimensional light generators."

38: "Carmen spends her days thinking about a story she could write if only she had the time. But it's never the time, too much work with unpredictable shifts. She tries to think up what happens after the marriage scene, but gets interrupted with every order."

I always enjoy these things, to the point that I genuinely look forward to the next ones.
