"Someone said this is more drift compatible..."

Watched a little more Pacific Rim the Black and got the urge to draw another Mei. But I felt like exaggerating the tightness of the suit, which never looks like this in the anime but hey... it is just a fanart.

I should get more reference for how light shines on latex. People seem to like it but I wish I was more confident in how it looks.

Aside from reference of actual latex, Stjepan Sejic is definitely the artist to study for understanding how to translate that shine to illustrations. Krys Decker is also a good choice. I can't recall him doing latex specifically, off hand, but his rendering of fabric (and hair) as a whole it top tier. Hajime Sorayama is the go-to artist for shiny material study. He mostly does metal, but I know he has a few pieces which also feature latex (or a latex-like material) side by side with metal.
