Just thinkin about Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom a lot. And it's not even about the main quest, even though I think the main quests are pretty wonderful. I've been focusing on the devices in the game. I like em a lot! I also like seeing what other people have been building and getting inspired. I like the crazy builds because they always seem to excite people. But I've been challenging myself to get into practical builds.

I've taken the "practicality" of it seriously and I'm trying to do things like keep things at a manageable power draw and focus on affordability and reliability. It's been my favorite part of the experience so far and it's been a good way to relax during everything else going on.

I approach it like a logic puzzle and the game gives you some really entertaining pieces to put together and futz around with. I'm not sure if I'm playing Zelda right but this one really lets me play the way I want to.

"not sure if i'm playing Zelda right" i'm pretty sure totk was designed with exactly these sorts of shenanigans in mind!

also i love all the little details in the drawing! the stabilizer stool, the sheikah bin, the brightbloom seed lamp, the boko rug...

I love that in Totk, Ganon is defeated by Link basically achieving a basic mechanical engineering degree.

Now I want to see a picture of link holding up a Hyrule community college degree certificate with a proud grin.
