02_001 (Patreon)

I haven't been uploading pages to Patreon much recently because I've been working on THIS thing and it's absolutely kicking my ass.

I wasn't originally going to have a big outdoor scene on page 1, but it seemed weird not to properly introduce the location, and I received a lot of character designs that I didn't want to change too much in order to keep them remaining familiar to their creators. Allowing for ordinary townsfolk to populate the backgrounds of the scenes let me sidestep this concern by including a wider variety of designs.

The next page or two will have more opportunities for background cameos, so I haven't included EVERY submission I'd received here. I'm a bit worried since I've received a handful of designs that are heavily reliant on armor or unusual clothing to be recognizable, and I just don't think that I'll be able to integrate them in this batch of pages. I'll probably do this sort of community thing for future crowded scenes too though, so there will be other opportunities for those sorts of characters to make it in.
