This is something essential to my workflow as a digital artist. I personally have trouble using a full keyboard when painting, and find that it wasn't good for my shoulder to reach over all the time. I bought this 22-key bluetooth numpad and labeled it withpencil on white stickers. (Pencil because I can change key placement if I decide I like something better). The fuzzy keys are soft velcro, so I can find certain keys without looking.

I use the program "Key Remapper" to fully remap the keys to my liking. It affects keys on your regular keyboard as well, so I pause the program if I'm not drawing. Key remapper is more expensive than the numpad itself, but so worth it. You can switch between "profiles", like if you switched between CSP and Photoshop, you could change the key maps with 1 click.

Now, I have a fully customizable keypad for Clipstudio Paint and Photoshop. I stick it to the armrest of my chair with velcro, so my arm can rest naturally without strain.

This is the specific one I bought (unavailable, likely due to the current events). But any numpad should work fine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MTD5D3W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
