Changing currency to Euro (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some good news. I’m now able to change my creator balance and payout currency to my local currency of Euro. This means I’m subject to less fees when I get paid each month.

To avoid any additional conversion fees for the both of us, I suggest that those of you that are in Euro zone also change to your local currency. For those of you who would like to switch your currency you can follow these steps:

1. On Patreon.com, hover over your avatar in the top right of your screen.
2. Click Manage memberships.
3. Find this page, and click Edit.
4. Under Currency, choose your preferred currency.
5. Click Update to save your settings.

For those of you outside of Euro zone, you can also change to pay in your currency of choice (where supported: Patreon's supported currencies) which will help you avoid foreign transaction fees.

This is the message patreon advised to share, so I used their words to make it understandable ^^

They wrote it doesn't change the amount that you pay if you already are a patron, it only changes for new patrons. I changed the tier values in euros and put something approximately the same converted amount. Patreon says it should be show in your current currency so if you're in $USD you should see it in $USD.

I had to change it because it's better my the tax authorities declaration.
