Genesis 8 (Patreon)

    Before starting, this character is not a children she is more than 18 years old. She isn't even human. Of course I know patreon is based on her look and not her real age, if you think she looks too much like a child I'll give her some years. 

Hello guyz! Today I had to create a night elf, that is the trainee of the orc chief. For this occasion I wanted to try something new, I worked with the Genesis 8 basis. 

For people who are not familiar with that, I'm rendering with DAZ3D, and to make character we have a Basic character that we will modify. I was mainly using genesis 3, and Genesis 8 has come recently. 

So here is Nii, it's a dark elf, made with Genesis 8.
She is shy and cute, exactly what a Dark race shouldn't be.

My thoughts about Genesis 8:

I'm in love. :D
I'm not sure I'm aware about all features that concerns genesis 8, the main thing I've seen it the new pose control... waw! particularily on her face, it's a lot more natural!!! like when you change the mouth's corner position, the whole face is adaptating to it.
Many basic expressions are also more beautiful/realistic, the fear, the happiness, it was a LOT MORE CREDIBLE.

the only bad point it that every morph I got for Genesis 3 doesn't work for this one x) I've had to get specific morphing tools for genesis 8 in order to customize head and body (I don't use prefab model concerning the body morph and head/face)

So, if you're hesitate to use Genesis 8, don't hesitate anymore :D (but be ready to spent money to get customization tools, if you're not a 3D modeler). if you're starting with daz, directly go to G8 and not G3. there is actually more assets that fit G3 but a lot of creators are making a G8 version of their G3 assets, and a big propostion of NEW assets are now for G8 only. So I think it's a better choice for long term.
If you're like me, you already have G3 stuff, you can make the transition slowly.
