In regards to the burnout you are feeling, It may help you to just let yourself have free rein of your animations for a while. Another animator I follow is inclined to drop animations early in production that they are not vibing with. They may come back to those WIP's at another time, but they are not obligated to finish them. I feel it be better for you to work on another project you enjoy instead of this one that wasn't working out for you. IMO, I thought the speedlines and flashes were fine and conveyed what you wanted in the climax scenes. I would suggest to do climax scenes if you feel they work for that animation. Climax scenes shoudn't be requirement in every project.
