For those into videogames, I was watching the E3 streams last weekend, and I was struck but how angry and negative the internet's responses to almost everything was. It made me sad, both for the people who work hard to put all that stuff together, and also the simple fact that videogames are something to be enjoyed. If they become a huge source of anger and frustration, are you really engaging with them in the right way?

Anyway, just some thoughts I had. Which made me think of Dragon Quest, a series that doesn't get the attention it deserves. It's pure comfort food, and a nice change of pace to all the internet rage. This is the masked thug, a hunky NPC who appears in many different forms and incarnations in most games in the series. And the blob next to him is an adoring Slime, the series mascot.

Just something relaxed and peaceful, which was what I needed to draw this week! Also with a night version, because DQ always has a cute day/night cycle.
