New Resource: International Safer Bathrooms Map for Trans, NB and Disabled People (Patreon)
Content
Hi cuties,
I was chatting with a patron last week about how many public bathrooms are inaccessible, and remembered this great resource.
Many of you don't identify as cisgender, which can make binary-gendered public bathrooms a huge stressor, if not a potential danger to your safety. (If you are cis, chances are you know or love a trans or non-binary person, so this is also important to consider on their behalf).
Quite a few of my patrons also have a physical disability, which is always a factor in picking which public spaces to visit.
So, I want to offer you Refuge Restrooms: refugerestrooms.org
Type any major city around the world, and you'll see long lists of public bathroom spaces with crowd-sourced rankings of how accessible they are. Switch to "Map" view to see how far away they are. You can also vote and contribute your opinions, as quite a few of the locations are yet unrated.
This is not a perfect resource, but I do hope that the spaces voted 100% positive can offer you a little more confidence when picking your next destination!
With love,
Morgan
