After painstakingly putting together my very own Toothless costume for the convention, I arrived ready and eager to show it off! Sure, the work was a little amateur and not exactly on-model in regards to accuracy, but I did the best with what I had.

It was only upon walking through the door of the convention hall that I felt ... off. It was hard to put my finger on how exactly, but I was overwhelmed with a tightness on my whole head and a sudden feeling of claustrophobia.

It took a good few strong wrenches to pull the suit's head off of my own, and even when freed things didn't feel right: my mouth felt too wide, my hair fell too heavily to either side, and a dark mass obscured the lower centre of my vision.

I needed to get to the bottom of this; and fast.
