Is this from Bicycle Day SF last year?

MrData32

I wish this has better audio quality :( you gotta have Robin on the podcast.

Kipling

Hurrah !

Brian

I was going to say I can't believe I didn't know about the discoverycon-sf YouTube channel, but looking it up now I see that there's only one video uploaded to it (this one). Now that I'm about a half hour in, I recognize the subjects they're discussing from that talk. I saw it in person last April, but it's nice to have a recording so I can review it since there's so much great information there.

Nice one, Hamilton. Thanks!

Matthew Powell

I would appreciate an audio only version, thank you

Michael McCallum

I was just thinking of how it’d be nice to see some video format interviews when I resubscribed the other day. Nice. 🙂

Max

An Audio only version on the podcast feed would be great, as I usually listen to these on a commute with very bad data :))

Jakob Patrick

Id appreciate an audio version thanks in advance

M

Already watched this on YouTube! Thanks for the upload Hamilton. I enjoy having a compiled list of Hamilton content for when I get the itch 😁

Cuck

Isn’t this guy a Freudian

Edan

audio only please, thanks!

gossamer

Robin would be great to have on the pod! I’d love to hear an unstructured conversation between you two where you can go off on whatever tangents you want and have it be more natural and organic.

Magic Plants

If you want audio only, just look away? lol how does an audio version help anyone?

Chris Newport

Not having to play it within Patreon is a valid reason. And some still live without fast internet.

Chris Newport

I went to the '22 conference/festival and was super annoyed they never shared a single video despite there being professional videography equipment at every talk. Maybe they forgot to put film in their cameras. 🤷‍♂️ I wanted to revisit the responses of the panel with some Usona and other researchers to my question about how restricted they felt about publicly discussing their personal experiences.

Chris Newport

Emancipator, Axel Thesleff, and more were great though! Lots of bootleg videos of those performances... (2CB didn't hurt.)

Oslo

Awesome, been wanting y’all to link up for a long long time. Carolyn Rodriguez, MD, PhD would be another amazing person to have on the pod. She’s pioneering ketamine therapy for OCD. She also is active on YouTube and podcasts / social media. You can find her on the Intl OCD Foundation YouTube channel about Ketamine and she looks eager to collaborate with others.

Oslo

Also to add in my two cents, I prefer both audio and video versions of most things if possible! I definitely enjoy the video aspects even if it’s just two talking heads but also audio only can be nice for mowing the lawn, driving, playing video games, etc. Also a lot of podcast apps have “audio cleanup” options (Overcast has “Voice Boost”) which can help if the source audio is iffy.

Oslo

Another advantage is being able to lock your phone and the media continues to play. Lot of video players will stop when you do that but audio players continue.

Oslo

I was going to take the bait but your name is “Cuck” so maybe try a different tactic.

Oslo

In my industry we have a similar problem with random talks at conferences being filmed but then never released. Some make it to YouTube, some end up behind a paywall, but a lot just don’t end up anywhere and I’m not sure if it’s incompetence, forgetfulness, an insurance / liability issue (my industry and this industry both come with legal issues abound) or what. I’m sure most speakers WANT the talks published, it’s just some other bullshit that stops it from happening.

Audio only would be nice for downloading

2024-04-12 17:19:54 Hamilton your concern with how the labeling/branding of a thing may produce its own counter movement is 👌 RCH is definitely all in on 'The Science' ... Lol. It's cool guy, your things can be the answer to How and not so much the whole answer to Why.

I could tolerate maybe ten minutes with this quack then shut it off not one of my favorite episodes sir

Christopher Fye

Even zoomed out like this I could see Hamilton holding back an eye-roll when Robin said "hard drugs".
