The movie ruins absolutely nothing about season 2 or 3, the show has a few characters in the fire nation that don't really get shown/fleshed out in the animated show until later. But not while it introduces and names those characters, it doesn't really spoil much. For instance Azula, the sister you saw at the end of this episode has a few scenes where she is training for her role next season. The movie is one of the most rage inducing things I've ever watched. The show is better than most people say - but it's not the original they're nostalgic for.

I’m really excited for you guys to get to season two. There’s a certain character and I’m sure people who have seen the show know who I’m talking about . But I can’t wait to see your reaction to them I think you’re going to really like them.
