January plans - scheduled break - please read [public post] (Patreon)

Happy incoming solstice!

Just a couple housekeeping notes that will apply toward January, since we seem to be heading that direction. Normally this kind of information would be in a newsletter, but because it may affect your subscription or subscription plans for January, I wanted to share this info before December ends.

The comic will be going on a scheduled break in January. Under the normal every-other-month schedule, a chapter would typically drop at the end of January. However, I am taking January off the comic to work on comic-related improvements (see below). Familiar will resume with Chapter 12, INVITATION, at the end of February.

Because I will still be working on Familiar things, I will not be pausing Patreon. Thanks in advance for your ongoing support that makes the following possible:

Website revamp.
I will be totally revamping the site to accommodate the number of chapters, and with an all new and much smoother mobile experience. Some examples of UX improvement include: All pages in a lightbox gallery that is fully mobile/touch responsive! and... Sortable/filterable chapter index with content warnings and summaries on hover!

Patreon refresh.
I will also be refreshing the Patreon, both front-facing (homepage content) and subscription tiers. A couple changes to be aware of/reassure you of:

- I have retired the tip jar tier ($1). If you are currently subscribed to the tip jar tier, your perks will not be changing. However, no new Patrons will be able to subscribe at this tier. 

- Any changes to existing tiers (Advanced Access, Influencer) will only be to ADD perks or benefits. I will not be removing any perks or benefits.

Other things
There are a couple other things I have planned but those are more newsletter-worthy because I want to be sure before I announce. So this is just a mysterious statement that there's other exciting stuff on the way.
