One of the most important aspects of any art is knowing what the focal point of any particular piece is. Where should your attention be drawn. Sometimes it's the chest or the flow of an image could lead the eye to a smile. The face is one of the most often used focal points. 

The focal point for this pin-up is obvious. It's her shoulder blades. Also an ass large enough to have it's own gravitational field.
