after watching your reactions to the excerpts, I was like "I wish she watched the rest of the episode too", but here it is. So hyped to see your reactions to the rest of the show. I too agree with the plainess of some of the intro stages. Even without watching Road to Kingdom first, the 4th gen groups (the Boys, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ) were on a different visual level than the other 3.

You are definitely going to love BTOB on this show. They are a whole vibe. Their stages are so fun because they are different from everyone else. They never try to do what the other groups do. I'm biased but I think Ateez and Stray Kids have some of the best performances on the show. All the groups have standout moments though.

lmao mnet loves to keep us in suspense. also one thing that’s interesting is a lot of the ages overlap with the exception of btob. Even ikons maknae chan is born in 98 same age as some skz, atz, tbz and sf9 members, and even though atz is the youngest team bc of their debut date they don’t have they youngest person on kingdom which is IN of skz. Fun fact changbin and wooyoung knew eachother before they were idols and are both born in 99 but usually on television people are a lot more respectful especially to seniors. Also the performances just get better from here, everyone steps up their game in the next round and if not then they’ll get into the swing of it the round after.

That is such an interesting bit of knowledge! Thank you for sharing!!! Can’t wait to see the next challenge next week!!

ATEEZ and Stray Kidz UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT and you can tell in just this first go around. Can’t wait to see more!

I truly wonder if it’s a “generation” thing if that makes sense. The “newer” groups were made with dancing as a priority which with the others dancing is important but not nearly as a priority to the times now? I’m excited to see them all grow!

Not just dancing, but you had mentioned about the trees in the background on the screen for the Boyz, Ateez had the pirate ship, and Stray Kidz had the green eyes. Lights and background play a huge part and this will show in the next round. . Next round it becomes really apparent with there even being speculations of some groups spending more money than was allotted for them, but it was about what they spent money on. Ateez used some sets they had from their cancelled world tour in their Wonderland performance you have already seen.

In case nobody else has mentioned this yet, ATEEZ have dance practice behinds on their channel for each of their performances on the show. You get to see more of them figuring out logistics and learning choreo and whatnot, and they get to explain more of the concepts they're going for (and how they relate to the lore). Stuff that wasn't really shown on the show itself. I'm sure the other groups (or at least some of them) probably have something similar as well but I'm not familiar with them. Personally I'd recommend looking at those as you're watching (if you are looking at them) but whatever you prefer! This is the one for WAVE: https://youtu.be/1QZRen--ut8?si=mFcZs4YeTc5sugt_

I'm still deciding how I want to approach it but I will 100% be looking at the BTS of ATEEZ alongside The Boyz!

watching this show real time was such a struggle tbh. I watched the live stream for the 100 second performances and I get why they extended it, because the app wasn't working for a lot of people. I guess they didn't expect the hype. But extending it by 4 days caused so many people to vote who did not watch (because it was a one time watch), thus it was really a popularity vote in the end. this show honestly caused fanwars and all and the whole voting/point system for this show was confusing and MNET was really late with revealing who received how many points and it was just super unclear in my opinion. So I try to not think too much about the competition aspect of the show, but just the performances and the interactions (which are wonderful btw, looking at just that the show is quite wholesome actually).

The show is great so far! Looking forward to watching more! I 100% agree that 4 days was a bit too long... I get 24 hours but 4 days? Too much room for fans to expand and cause a popularity vote like you said. Really excited to see the first challenge!!
