Truth serum (mostly outlawed now in the west) was administered by anaesthesiologists to criminal suspects and occasionally witnesses because it puts you in a susceptible state, especially to questioning. It was discontinued as an interrogation method because it could work too well and the suspect would end up confessing to things they never did and even have altered memories upon sobering, which is a side effect you don’t want in the wrong hands. So this kinda level of drugging could be possible by a smart student who makes sure the victim is on the whole group’s mind as he’s doing so, explaining why they all see Non or the mask but their hallucinations don’t all match up. The only thing I don’t find as believable is the antidote working so fast like having smoke blown in your face 😂
