OKAY WHICH ONE OF YOU FUCKERS PICKED THAT ONE??? He either was born like that or he lost them. Neither is something you just walk up to a stranger and start talking about. 

And on the chance that he was born like that, I certainly don't want to piss him off, because odds are he has some kinda magic thing. It's rare, but it's commonly known that when an Imp is born without wings, they usually have some strange gift. I've never seen it myself, but people say that these special Imps can do crazy things. Fazing through walls, teleporting things around, polymorphing at will, all sorts of things that some of the brightest Wizards spend their entire lives trying to copy.  And it's always unique. It's rare to see a wingless Imp in the first place, and it's near impossible to see two with the same gift. 

But whatever, you guys picked at least a few options I can work with.

I was never good with small talk but this guy seemed chill at least. I started out simple enough. Turns out his name's Alastor, and he just retired from his job and just moved to the city.  I was a bit hesitant to ask, but...

"Soooo... where did you get those scares?" I ask.

"Hmmm probably the same way you got covered in fur and lost your pupils. Bad decisions, acting stupid, and just being where I shouldn't."

"Ummmm.."

"Relax kid, I'm pulling your dick." He says with a laugh, "I used to be an adventurer so I know a thing or two about getting in shitty situations. As for the scars, which one do ya' want to know about?"
