Nerdy has a recurrent theme of being extremely caught up in time discussions, it's not something exclusive to this show. Do you better like it when they put those subtitles that say: 2 weeks later? In some cases, I agree it's necessary. On this occasion it doesn't seem necessary, it's just a few days away imo, maybe 6-7 but it's not important to the plot. Things move slowly in a country with technology akin to maybe 1920. I definitely recommend not getting caught up in time discussions, because you do miss a couple of interactions due to that. amestris map: https://i.redd.it/icrg5fxllfa41.png supposedly, 980 km from east to west.

Yeah, I've noticed it in the Expanse reactions too. He seems confused on the time frame that events take place. Which is understandable for the Expanse because they don't really mention in the show (like they do in the books) just how long it takes to get places. Like getting from Saturn to Ceres takes several weeks, and from Jupiter to Earth and Mars is several months, even with the Epstein drive. But they never really take a moment to explain that, even in passing. But in this show, it's just really unnecessary to explain the travel time because it is such a small country so events can easily take place simultaneously without issue, and ultimately it's just not very relevant to the plot.

Shonen anime don’t really care about continuity.
