April's Belated Short Story... (Patreon)

Whew! finally gone with this thing! Sorry again about all the delays, folks. I won't belabor the reasons and causes again. You all either already know why it's late, or else don't care enough to read the various notices in the first place. So...it's late but it's here!

I think it came out pretty decently, too. It might be rough it a spot or two, as the tenses were fighting me. I kept wanting to shift into First Person, but that's not the tense the rest of the Starship Promise stories are written in. I think my editing pass fix more of the places where I slipped. But there might still be one or two...or three or four.

Either way, it hit all the notes I wanted to, and came in at just under 4,500 words. Plus a couple of new renders embedded! As always, the story is attached here in PDF form :-). Enjoy!
