It was Kanao and Tanjiro that had a moment. Aoi kinda did have a moment with Tanjiro, but it wasn't as profound or hit the same as Kanao's moment. I'm pretty sure Tanjiro is too young for Shinobu.

There’s gonna be a lot of filler this season I can tell. The opening scene doesn’t even make sense since normal demons aren’t supposed to work together due to the way muzan made them.

If it wasn't in the source material, it still felt perfectly in place. Muzan is apparently gathering his demons for some kind of concerted assault to get Nezuko. Muzan is giving them orders, they must obey or die. A bunch of demons gathered around the current entrance to the Infinity Castle gathering sustenance for everyone residing there doesn't feel like filler. It's in-line with what expository plot we got. I would never think twice about it being in the original story.
