"Hey, Blake! Is Mrs. B coming today?"

Blake Belladonna is passing the Beacon Academy library when Sun calls out to her from in front of the massive doorway. He's standing beside a blonde woman in her forties who smiles and waves. Is that Sun's mom? she thinks to herself. They look similar enough -- and it IS campus Mother's Day...

"Uhm -- yeah, maybe," Blake says, nervously running her hand over her head to flatten down one of her cat ears.

"Awesome," Sun declares. He turns enthusiastically to explain to his mom: "That's Blake Belladonna, the Huntress I was telling you about. Her mom is everyone's favorite."

"M-Maybe you'll get to see her later!...heh..."

If Blake sounds weird, Sun is (as per usual) oblivious. "Great!" he declares. "Hey, you should take her to Faunus Flame tonight around 8. A bunch of us are meeting there!" He grins. "Best Korean BBQ in the Remnant. See you then!"

Blake's grin flickers the moment Sun looks away.

Today is the Beacon Academy Bring-Your-Mom-to-Campus day (shortened to "Mother's Day" by most students)...and it just so happens to be on the same day as Beacon Academy Report Card day.
